Remarks

As this college is located in wayanad, which is a place full of natural scenery and landscape,it is so serene .The university is located in the college campus itself. Also there are only two colleges in kerala which provides veterinary education. Amongst the two, wayanad campus is a better optio for the beauty of the campus and its environment. You can visit the campus site for more information, which is given below. The admission is done through neet exam.www.kvasu.ac.in

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Firstly,i chose this accidentally as i was unable to get into the profession i want to.But later on ,i started enjoying my profession and course. Now i am fully satisfied with my college.Basically the course is similar to any other medical course with a duration of 5 & 1/2 years including internship. There are only 80 seats for this course taken every year through NEET exams and by the KEAM .The faculties are super qualified and the teaching methods are too professional. The course is divided yearly and it requires 4 & 1/2 years of study with exams each year. The course will be easy to those who loves this profession and takes little effort for others

Internships Opportunities

3.5

There is a provision of compulsory internship of one year with the stipend by the university. We have to practice in various hospitals over kerala during the internship period.Through this, students acquire practical knowledge.

Placement Experience

4

Students are qualified as a veterinary surgeon after completing the course. The job opportunities are more compared to any other medical courses as there is limited student intake each year.Students can also practice as private practitioners.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As this is a government college, the fees are affordable and not much. The tuition fees is 19800 per year. For those who need financial assistance, the scholarships are provided by the campus and government.

Campus Life

4.5

The college conducts arts festivals and sports fests each year. The campus supports extra curricular activities in a well defined manner.Campus have a multi purpose gym, sports club, various stadiums for arts and sports.College library is so established with immense amount of books and there is a reading room.

Admission

The admission is strictly through NEET exam. The 85% of seats are for state quota and 15% seats are allotted for all India quota students. The students have to register in the kerala entrance portal which is www.keam.nic.in.

Placement are not the best. But EY , federal bank, TCS are some the prominent companies that are coming. The negative thing about placement is most of them are offering marking jobs. So if you are someone who is interested in operations this is not the collage you want to in.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
