Kerala Veterinary & Animal Sciences University has not yet officially published placement data for 2025. Based on the information shared in the NIRF 2025 report, we further validated placement data during the 2023-24 academic year to demonstrate a continuous positive growth in placement statistics in various programs over the past few years.

In regard to UG (3-year) placements at KVASU, the median salary achieved a change from INR 1.86 LPA in 2021-22 to INR 2.40 LPA for 2023-24. Changes in the UG (4-year) program shape displaced median salary from INR 4.20 LPA to INR 5.34 LPA, while UG (5-year) placements continued to earn a similar median salary as previously reported INR 6.00 LPA.

The changes for PG (2-year) median salary were the most pronounced ones, moving from INR 5.60 LPA to INR 7.20 LPA, and maintaining the same figure last reported for the previous academic session. It was significant to note the change in student placement numbers for PG courses, while over the years previously, more PG-qualified candidates were entering this section, highlighting the continuing rise of the value of qualifications in the industry.

KVASU Placement 2025 FAQs

Ques. At KVASU, what's the highest package?

Ans. The highest package in recent years is INR 7.20 LPA, which was achieved by PG (2-year) program students in 2022-23, and is also the highest package for 2023-24. This represents strong industry demand for postgraduate students, especially in specific in the field of veterinary and the livestock sector. Seeing such numbers indicates that pursuing higher studies at KVASU can be more value-generating to individuals than an undergraduate degree.

Ques. Which program reflects the highest median salary?

Ans. The PG (2-year) course showed a median salary of INR 7.20 LPA, followed by UG (5-year) programs across colleges at INR 6.00 LPA. The postgraduate salary is higher than the undergraduate salary, indicating that employers place great value on specialty and research, which is more often associated with postgraduate values.

Ques. What change do you see for UG (3-year) placement salary?

Ans. The UG (3-year) salary increased from INR 1.86 LPA in 2021-22 to INR 2.40 LPA in 2023-24. Due to economic fluctuation, we see steady change however, less frequently than by other programs, to what we observed within the same time frame under the KVASU banner, often reflecting possible entry-level outcomes of the degree. However, these individuals will have the opportunity to upskill further down the line at a higher salary return value.

Ques. Which program had the biggest increase in placements?

Ans. PG (2-year) programs are showing the biggest rise in placements, going from just 35 placements in 2021-22 to 170 placements in 2023-24. This growth is likely due to the industry growing in both government and private veterinary sectors, as well as research institutions recruiting subject matter specialists.

Ques. Are recruiters' company names listed in the NIRF report?

Ans. No, the NIRF report does not mention company names for KVASU. However, several important employers are known via institutional mechanisms, including public veterinary services, organizations from the livestock industry, and national research institutes such as ICAR and IVRI, which cover the entire spectrum of veterinary-related careers from field to lab work.

Ques. Is there a progression for UG (4-year) program salaries across the years?

Ans. UG (4-year) salaries increased from INR 4.20 LPA in 2021-22 to INR 5.34 LPA in 2023-24. This is a positive growth rate and with a huge increase in placements indicates that an increasing number of hiring organizations are employing UG vets to perform operational and supervisory roles.

Campus placements are available here. Mainly milma, Amul, mother dairy and other dairy farms and units are provided job opportunities to our students who completed 7th semester and now at 8th semester with a good GPA score. Past year 85% are got placement in different dairy units and farms and the rest of them are expanding their study to MTech and look straight for business in this field. I'm planning to get a placement from any dairy field, otherwise, look forward to MTech Dairy Technology.

No campus placement is available. However as it is a medical course and everyone is a doctor on graduation no one is unemployed. Most people are employed in the government itself through the Kerala Public Service Commission, but this exam only happens once in 3-4 years. So graduates either practice privately it are employed in private hospitals, farms or NGOs

After the course you can get placement too various private clinics as well as get government job through PSC. There is also opportunities for veterinarians in in banks, insurance companies, meat production technologies, night vet etc. During the course experts from various private clinics teach sessions dealing with scope of private clinic jobs in small animals, large animals and pet animals etc. Since this is the only course in India in which less number of students are passed and limited number of colleges are present there is campus placement of 100%. This institution is one of the best among the veterinary colleges all over the India.
