MVC Chennai: 1 Answered Question

Is there any language barrier/issue in Madras Veterinary College Tanuvas for a North Indian student?

Rayash SinghStudies at TANUVAS (2024)

One of my cousins recently graduated from TANUVAS and is a North Indian native. However, he mentions that there were no issues with his stay at the institute. The lectures held mostly are in English since it is one of the mandated languages to connect with natives coming from a number of places, besides Tamil Nadu alone.

The faculty of the institute effectively provides priority to English as the major mode of communication.

Having access to the basic English language is more than sufficient to understand the classes, without any barrier at all. If you are only interested, you can take part in learning quite a bit of Tamil words so as to connect more with the surroundings.

There are several students, who are pursuing the 5-year course, without having to deal with any language barrier at all.

Yes, admission to the Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) program at Madras Veterinary College in Chennai requires the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) score. The Veterinary Council of India (VCI) utilizes NEET (UG) scores to fill 15% of seats under the All India Quota in recognized veterinary colleges across the country, including Madras Veterinary College. For the remaining 85% of seats, which fall under the state quota, the Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (TANUVAS) manages admissions

Oct 6, 2024 13:26

The Master of Veterinary Science (MVSc) program requires applicants to have completed a Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science (BVSc) or its equivalent. A B.Tech in Biotechnology does not meet this specific eligibility requirement for admission to an MVSc program, as it focuses on veterinary science, animal health, and related areas, which are different from the broader scope of biotechnology.
