Course Curriculum Overview

The course duration is two years divided into four semesters. We are given instructions on biochemistry, nutrition sciences, hatchery design, animal sciences and the steps to be taken for the safety procedures of animals. This course is done to prepare students in such a manner that they learn to care for the farm animals and market livestock. The modules in which the course is split are case studies, fundamentals of animal husbandry & nutrition, agriculture business, zoo animal nutrition, molecular nutrition etc.

Placement Experience

4.5

The roles which were offered by companies such as ISCOMN, Nutricare life, Fuzen pharmaceuticals etc were veterinary technicians, animal care workers, pharmacy research manager, veterinary consultant etc. The highest package offered was 11 lpa and the average was 4 lpa. Students were also given internships in hospitals so that they get more exposure about this industry. I don't really remember the stipend that was offered.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The total fees for one year is 43,513 which includes the tution fees, registarion & exam fees and other charges. The grand total for two years is around 77,793 which I consider ius quite feasible if compared to the other colleges.

Campus Life

Workshops and conferences on animal nutrition and veterinary sciences are held every month. Actiuvties such as pottery, face painting competition, singing, dancing, stand up comedy, dj night, freshers day, farewell of seniors etc. Outdoor and indoor sports tourbnamernts are also held at our college to boost these activities so taht the students are mentally and physcially fit.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel rooms are cleaned and spacious. We are provided with attached bathrooms and an almirah for personal belongings. Other facilities include water coolers, WiFi facility, electricity, generator facility, parking lot, gym facility etc. A stationery is also provided to students near the hostels. The mess & canteen food is also quite nice and the food is given at subsidized rates. I would give a 3.5/5 rating for the hostel facilities.

Admission

The students who are seeking admission in the relevant course needs to have a Bachelors degree with 6/10 CGPA from a recognized university. 5.5/10 CGPA for SC/ST/OBC. Other than that you need to clear a entrance test which is conducted by KVAFSU. Merit list will be declared based on the scores. My name was in the second merit list and I was called for the counselling session. After that I was called for admission in the college.

Faculty

4.5

All the faculty members are well trained and experienced in their field. We are given instructions on animal science & heath which needs to be applied to various types of breeds and species. Our doubts on any subject is cleared by the teachers willfully. They put more emphasis on practical sessions so that we get to know more about the biological and digestive processes with the application of nutritional sciences.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
