Likes

- Library is Huge with lots of books regarding every subject and also newspapers and journals . Seperate section for preparation of civil exams too
Dislikes
- College is not maintained cleanly . Girls washroom are filthy and have no water on most days.
- Clinics lack funding and resources . Patient care is compromised and unsanitary.
- Faculty not compassionate towards animals . Dogs are beaten up and kicked out .
Course Curriculum Overview
Based on exposure in the clinics it can be rated 7/10. There are large number of cases . Which made me want to choose this college. But nothing is taught and the treatment and care are only the bare minimum. The curriculum is only theoretical and does not prepare you well for being a doctor . Too much information is taught in too less time. Unnecessary subjects are included. Exams put a lot of pressure on the student. No gaps or study holidays between exams . Portion covered will be too large . Overall very stressful conditions.

Campus Life
Campus Life is very average. No efforts are made towards the maintenance of the college. Students are not very friendly and prejudice towards people from other states or areas. Academics are given prime focus. Culture is given the least amount of importance. There are barely any events. Once in 4 years college day is held . Sports day once a year. That's all. Even on festivals, we're not given holidays. Teachers students everyone is severely overworked. Being in veterinary College everyone hates animals. No importance is given to their welfare or even survival.
Admission
This university was the only one I applied for and Bangalore college was my top priority bcz of the exposure and the rabies lab making it one of the most prestigious veterinary colleges in India. Admission is done through Kcet and Neet examination . If through Kcet it's necessary to be a domicile of Karnataka. Through NEET it happens via VCI counseling . After that NRI counselling is done . Admission process was complex because lot of documents were demanded . And they took a long time to verify the documents . It was a lengthy process
Faculty
Faculty keeps changing during the year due to transfers which compromises education quality. Students are treated like kids . It does not feel like a professional course at all . Dr Yatish - Department of Animal genetics and breeding . Very knowledgeable and punctual. Dr . Veeregowda - Department of veterinary Microbiology . Very knowledgeable and experienced Dr Shrikrishna Isloor - Department of veterinary Microbiology. Easy to approach and understands students well. Dr Santosh CR - Department of veterinary Pharmacology. Knowledgeable and understanding of the students. Faculty I didn't like Dr. Mohan - Department of public health and epidemiology . Arrogant, egoistic . Dr Prabhu T M - department of Animals Nutrition . Fails students unnecessarily Exams 3 Internals in a year . Best of 2 marks are considered for final score . Approx . 20% of students fail to clear the exams . Course Curriculum is relevant but not taught accordingly .
