The duration of the course is two years.It includes their study of microbiology and maladies of domesticated animals such as ( livestock , fur bearing animals, poultry & fish).The course gives us deeper insights about Immunology , Micro and Molecular biology.It is for those students who have the ability to diagnose the ailment quickly through current concepts and develop efficient & effective tools for the use of animal owners.The last semester is very important because here we are taught about animal husbandry and the infectious diseases breeding in a animal's body.

The salary in our course ranges from 60,000 to 1.2 lpm. Being a medical course , last year batch has secured 90% placement record.Top companies that visited our campus were CCBF, CPDO, Bannerghatta Biological Park, Mysore Zoo etc.There were also few NGOs that interviewed our seniors and recruited them as veterinarians in their vet clinics. Internships were also offered to the students and the starting stipend for the same was 15,000 per month.

The tuition fees for first semester is 18,360.The registration & admission fees is 2808 and 1200 respectively.The total comes down to 63,194 for one year which I consider is very feasible seeing the infrastructure that they have provided us with.

All the national festivals are celebrated in our college with dignity. Championships such as Chennai taekwondo , face painting is also conducted at our college to bring in the students together and narrow their cultural differences.Freshers and graduation day are also held at our college at even semesters.Sports activities such as football , basketball, table tennis, badminton is held at our college playground by our Student council.

The college is located in the center of the city , with a terminal bus stand and top notch companies nearby.The college has provided its students a well equipped library , gym facility and also a international hostel for NRI students.The quality of labs is really very good, almost all our practicals are done here.The classrooms are of staircase view , so that it is comfortable for us to attend the classes.We are provided separate hostels for both boys and girls.The mess food is also quite good and daily we are served different dishes as prepared by our college student council.Medical and hot water bath facilities are also provided.

You need to have secured 60% or 6/10 CGPA in the undergraduate programme from a recognized university.The percentage criteria for SC/ST students is 5.5/10 or 50%. Nextly a written test is also conducted by the university which contain 100 objective question and each of the questions carries one mark.My score was pretty good in the written examination and I had my name in the third merit list which was out on the college website.Shortly after that I was called for document verification and granted admission.

The teachers are extremely helpful and experienced in their field of expertise.Teachers teach us though presentations, e-classrooms, blackboard teaching so that we understand the subject more clearly rather than giving emphasis on bookish language.I would rate the teaching quality 4/5.We are also taken to industry tours so that we get wide exposure about veterinary science.
