Likes
- There are so may fests and lots of fun activites and hostels are good.
- Faculty are good and they are cooperaitve.
- There is a good senior junior connection and they help in opportunities like internship and placements and exams clearing strategies
Dislikes
- I think the quality of mess food served can be better .
- Campus is not that big like other old IITs .
- Management is not that intereted in soliving problem of students.

Placement Experience:
From third semester u are eleigible for intern opportunities and after 7th semester on campus placements are started .
The companies that come to our colllege are Google , Microsoft ,Amazon,Paypal, Flipkart ,phonepay , Walmart , BNY melon, salesforce , ONGC, IBM, Oracle ,sprinklr , samsung ,.
The highest package is 83 lacs and avg package was 16.9 lacs in my college.
Percentage of students placed 91 percent .

- Heritage building of the college and its national importance
- The greneery of the college and hostel of the college.
- The library ofy college is asias largest technical library.
Dislikes
- Poor teaching of professor and their behaviour towards student.
- The academic facilities are not good as other college.
- They have poor girls to boys ratio in the college.
Placement Experience:
For campus placement student get eligible frim 4th year and can apply offline in 3rd year. In our college more than 500 company comes and make offer to atleast 700 students. The highest package is 59 lakhs and average package is 20 lakhs. I have to do higher studies after my college.

- The infrastructure provided by the college and the amount of freedom given to each student in building their career.
- The constant support from the faculties to ensure that student excel in their field of study.
- The amount of greenery inside the campus is unmatched the most green campus after IIT Guwahati.
Dislikes
- The hostel foods could have been better and more number of canteens must be there inside the campus.
- The main gate of the institute could be rebuild to a better one it's still the same as 1926 if someone drives past the college main gate that person wouldn't know he has crossed an IIT campus.
- Unavailability of many city facilities as dhanbad is not a big city like Delhi or Mumbai.
Placement Experience:
Students are eligible for internships after the 4th semester and are eligible for placement from the 7th semester.
The institute is visited by a huge number of companies including the top MNC's that includes Amazon, Microsoft, Nvidia, Meta along with the Indian giants of Tata, ONGC.
The season of 2024 placement saw the highest package of 52lpa along with the average package standing at 17lpa.
Inspite of the recession in the current session the institute provided placement to almost 75% of the students. After getting the degree I would try for jobs in the PSu sectors including NTPC, BHEL etc.

- This college provide best laboratory for learning.
- The girls is to boys ratio is 1:5 because of supernumerary reservation of girls candidate
- Faculty are well educated and experienced having many year teaching experience along with research
Dislikes
- The college is very big campus so u have walk too much to attend class
- Mess food is not good something as per the standard
- Class are throughout the day so it take all day time
Course Curriculum Overview:
Course curriculum is structured as per the high class institutions like mit standard.
They teach about how to solve the real world problems. There are two quize and two exam, one before mid semester exam and other before end semester exam .
Exam difficulty is between moderate to hard.

Our placement cycle is good. Every year 70% of peoples got hired by big companies. Good achievement by our campus students and thanks to our faculty team. Iam interested to looking forward to work with big companies

- Colleges campus is too good and weather of college location is charming through our the year . Also the facilities of classroom are very comfortable and classy.
- College sports facilities are like international level. 2 ground for cricket and athletics one more ground for normal matches. Olympics level basket ball court is there . State level coaches are there in each game .
- Olympics standard swimming pool is there . Many club are there like dancing club, speaking club, fotofreaks, Artfreaks , music club and tech club is also there like cyber lab , Robotics club etc . Apart from this all campus life is very good.
Dislikes
- Campus is very big so college need to provide free cycle or auto service but they provide payable e riksa
- Since the college located in dhnabda jharkhand, No much option for travelling or enjoying near the campus. Only one two good places are there like fall ,dam etc.
- Reasearch facilities are growing recently but it need to work more on that field . Also campus closed after 10 pm for going outside the campus . But good thing is inside campus you will be free to roam anywhere irrespective of time foundation.
Placement Experience:
Overall campus placement for IIT ISM Dhanbad is decent . Highest package till now is 1.2 cr and lowest package is 6 lpa . This year also since phase 1 of placement season completed almost 600+ students got placed with highest domestic package is 66 lakh .
80-90% students got placed in this college.
If your cgpa is above 7 chances of getting placed is very high. So maintaining good cgpa is very necessary.
Placement season start from oct end of 7 th sem and phase 1 of placement completes in 20-25 dec . After that phase 2 of placement starts from 4-5 january onwards . Highest package offer on day 1,2 of placement season.
Since I got placed in Bharat petroleum corporation limited (BPCL) my plan is to join BPCl and then go on higher post in same company.

- Class timings are very flexible and no pressure on students.
- IIT Dhanbad has very good record of internships and placements.
- They provide scholarship for the students.

- Should improve female to male ratio in students.
Placement Experience:
After 6th semester that is after 3-2 you are eligible to participate in campus placements. Campus placements are very good. Median package is 15 LPA and highest is around 75LPA. They will help you at the time of your placements.

- Very friendly senior junior interaction.
- Campus is very lush green and secluded from city.
- Placements are decent and at par with other top iits

- Girl boi ratio i.e some 1:4 creates monochromacity
Placement Experience:
The placements generally are very decent which may varry every year but on normal circumstances 80-85% students get placed with median and average around 15-20 lpa. Avg package of cse for eg lies around 25-30 lpa

- Academics- Faculty is good. They have good knowledge of their subjects.
- Library- It is one of the largest library of India. They have all the books related to the course as well as the fantasy books.
- Placements- College Placements are growing this year for core as well as non core. Core placements and internships for this year are really good.
Dislikes
- Hostels- Some hostels need some renovations like painting and room sizes can be bigger
- Food places- Food places in the items can be increased. We have dominos in the campus.
Placement Experience:
Students are offered internships in their 5th semester and companies are opened on superset. Around 500 have got interned out of 1100 batch and 800 got placed out of 1100 and some have plans for international studies as well. Good thing is students have been placed in core companies as well which is good for someone who is not interested in coding. For electrical students have been placed in well reputed companies like Texas Instruments , Jaguar Land Rover, Reliance and JSW Steel. Hightest package received is 55 LPA and averga package is 16 LPA.

- Campus life is really great, the festivals are very nice. Lot of effort is put into making it a success.
- The course curriculum is very standard and decent.
- Not all the subjects taught are relevant. 70 percent are relevant, whereas other parts are not that useful.
Dislikes
- Not all the professors are good. Some teachers are very good but most are not upto the mark. All though they are knowledgeable about the field, their teaching methods are not good.
- The attendance percentage minimum requirement is 75 percent which many may feel is too tight. Its too much attendance requiremnet
- Campus could be maintained better, too much unsterilized stray dogs roaming around the campus.
Placement Experience:
The campus placements in my college are pretty good. Even if you are not placed in campus placements, it is not that hard to get a job outside of campus placements. All this is keeping in mind that the CGPA is above 8, and the person has good knowledge. Placement percentage is above 75 on average. Highest package in electrical is around 45 lakhs whereas average package is 19 lakhs. My plans after getting degree is to start a robotics company.

IIT Dhanbad ranks 15th among the Engineering category by NIRF 2019. It is a much older establishment than IIT Bhubaneswar. The fee structure for BTech in ECE at IIT Dhanbad is 2,30,120 for one year. It Requires a JEE ranking of 3000-10000 for ECE. The ECE department of IIT Dhanbad has seen 60% placement of students with an average annual salary package of 15 lakhs per annum and highest being 39 lakhs per annum. IIT Dhanbad has a total of 332 faculty members who are highly qualified and experienced members. Out of total, 315 members are Ph.D. holders.
IIT Bhubaneswar ranks 17th in the Engineering category by NIRF 2019. It is one of the newer IITs. The students with JEE ranking between 2000-7000 are eligible for Electrical Engineering in IIT Bhubaneswar. IIT Bhubaneswar in 2019 has seen 89% placement in the Civil Engineering Department with an average annual salary package of 11 lakhs per annum, 39 lakhs per annum being the highest. It also has Shopping Complex, Healthcare centers, gym, Sports grounds and courts, Common rooms, Media entertainment rooms, ATMs, etc.
Thus, IIT Dhanbad will be a better option to study ECE than Electrical Engineering from IIT Bhubaneswar because, Being one of the oldest established IITs, IIT Dhanbad is known for its quality of education and their campus life. It also has better and more experienced faculty members.
