IIT ISM - Review

Placement Experience:

Companies began to visit the campus from starting of the 5th sem for internship and from the 7th sem for final placement. Tech giants like Amazon, Microsoft, Oracle, DE Shaw, etc visit the campus and recruit a good amount of students from circuital branches. For earth science branches there has been a decline in the core companies especially PSUs. Consulting companies like Axxela, Futures First, Cubastion, etc also visit the campus for hiring. Some well-known PSUs like Cairn, ONGC, ExxonMobil, Mecon come for hiring for petro and AGP, AGL students The highest package last year was 93 lakh by Bloomberg London and the profile which was offered is Software Developer. Avg package is 9-10lakhs. Percentages of students placed vary from year to year but are roughly around 70-80%.

Placement Experience:

The arrangements measurements are all around well in mining according to the record 90%+ understudies get set. Understudies can get PPO(pre-situation offer) in the third year lastly get put in the fourth year. IIT (ISM) Dhanbad review

Placement Experience:

From 5 semesters you are eligible for campus internships. Most Final year students get placements. From small companies to very big companies like Google/Microsoft give placements. The highest package of around 60 lakh was given by Microsoft. Non-core placement is very high. While only 4-5 companies come for the core one.

Placement Experience:

Placement stats for the mining branch concludes that nearly 91% of the total mining batch students got placed and others went for higher studies. Many companies will visit for mining branch and some are open for all students. Students here also get placed in non-core coding companies, finance, analyst,s, etc. You will be given a lot of opportunities to explore your interest and pursue whatever you want.

Placement Experience:

1. From 5th or 6th sem companies offer to various students a PPO i.e. Pre Placement Offer but the students are only placed after the 8thsem. 2.Various comapnies visit our college like Amazon,Flipkart,Goldman Sachs,ONGC,L&T 3.The percentage of students getting placements vary about branch to branch. 4.I am going to get MBa Degree after completing my Btech degree.

IITs are the premier institutes for engineering in India. Hence I have taken admission in an IIT. IIT DHANBAD is established in 1926 as ISM and then converted to an IIT. As it is an old institute, it has great reputation.

Which one is better, IIT Dhanbad for ECE or IIT Bhubaneswar for electrical?

IIT Dhanbad ranks 15th among the Engineering category by NIRF 2019. It is a much older establishment than IIT Bhubaneswar. The fee structure for BTech in ECE at IIT Dhanbad is 2,30,120 for one year. It Requires a JEE ranking of 3000-10000 for ECE. The ECE department of IIT Dhanbad has seen 60% placement of students with an average annual salary package of 15 lakhs per annum and highest being 39 lakhs per annum. IIT Dhanbad has a total of 332 faculty members who are highly qualified and experienced members. Out of total, 315 members are Ph.D. holders.

IIT Bhubaneswar ranks 17th in the Engineering category by NIRF 2019. It is one of the newer IITs. The students with JEE ranking between 2000-7000 are eligible for Electrical Engineering in IIT Bhubaneswar. IIT Bhubaneswar in 2019 has seen 89% placement in the Civil Engineering Department with an average annual salary package of 11 lakhs per annum, 39 lakhs per annum being the highest. IIT Bhubaneswar has a total of 145 faculty members who are highly qualified and Ph.D. holders. IIT Bhubaneswar has 2 hostels for boys and girls each. Thus, IIT Dhanbad will be a better option to study ECE than Electrical Engineering from IIT Bhubaneswar because, Being one of the oldest established IITs, IIT Dhanbad is known for its quality of education and their campus life. It also has better and more experienced faculty members.
