Though the fees are not in accordance with what a government college should offer, one gets a lot of scholarships here to apply for. There is a fee waiver where if you meet certain income criteria the fee gets waived. Also, there is an MCM scholarship.

As my parent's income is less than 1 lakh the fee structure is OK for me. But after the first year, the fee hiked now I'm finding it difficult to pay. I have put so many expectations on the NSP scholarship but unfortunately, I didn't get it. I have no financial assistance.

IIT(ISM) DHANBAD: Must for those who aspire high

The tuition fee is 100000/per semester. mess, hostel, and other fees are 32000/semester. It is a hike of 3000rs this year. Our college provides scholarships that are mcm(merit cum means scholarship), is mana and there are also some private institutions. mcm is for people who have an annual income of less than 600000.

IIT(ISM)-Dhanbad - A British era IIT.

Generally, the fee structure is a fee of 1.25 lakhs per semester. It may get changed as per economic conditions every financial year. You can have scholarships based on your family income. If your family income is under 5lpa would get a two-third fee waiver on tuition fees(1 lakh per semester). And, if it's below 1lpa you would be given a 100% fee waiver on tuition fees. Also, you can get an MCM scholarship on your CGPA in college, and also there are numerous alumni-funded scholarships for needy and deserving candidates.

From my perspective

Fees for the whole BTech is about 12 lakhs, there are many scholarships but it is quite difficult to get. But there is a 100 percent tuition fee wavier for a student whose family income is less than 1 lakh and 66 percent whose income is less than 5 lakh.

IIT ISM - Review

The fee depends upon category and family income. For SCs and ST candidates tuition fee is waived off completely they have to pay only a mess fee ( 15000 per sem) and approx. 7k for hostel and other stuff. For general candidates, fee waiver is given on the basis of annual family income. MCM scholarship is given to the deserving candidates who belong to the weaker section which offers them complete fee waiver. Job opportunities on campus are too much one has to learn other skills to be job-ready. The stipend provided on campus varies from 40000 to 60000 for an internship. For placement, it is around 9-10 lakhs.

The yearly program fees are 227500 INR in IIT(ISM) Dhanbad which consisted of 200000 INR as tution fees and 27500 as other fees. The Institute provides many scholarships like Merit Cum Means scholarship, ISMAANA scholarship, Benevolent fund Scholarship and a few others for financially aiding the students. Tution fee waiver scheme is also for economically weaker students in which 100% tution fees is waived for students with family annual income less than 100000 INR and 66% tution fees waiver for students with family income between 200000 INR and 500000 INR.
