Likes

The main attraction of our campus is G20 which is also called heritage building.
We have a innovation hub building i2h which is a place for innovation ideas.
We have a large auditorium pen man auditorium where maximum events are held.

Dislikes

In our campus the lover spots are quite scenes.
The food maintenance in our is not as good as we want.
In our campus some people show discrimination on religion.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course since this course having highest package benefits and internship opportunities are better.I learnt computing in the Year 2 and now I can understand every coding easy due to the coding learnt from my college.

Placements are good. And it depends on person efforts and interest. Placements team is organized by SCPT of our college. There should min cg required for students to sit in interviews for some company's and obviously placements are good as expected from IITs

Likes

The campus life is good and we also get much time for other activities so we can improve ourselves.
The interactive management and professors.

Dislikes

The infrastructure is not to the mark. Even we have innovation center and research hub.
The campus is small comparing to other iits which is only 350 acres.
The hostel are not upto the mark but ok.

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students are eligible for campus placements. The multinational companies like google, Microsoft and big trading firms like Goldman Sachs etc.. Visit campus and hire many students. Highest package was of 1cr and average packages offered for my branch were like between 20-30 lakhs. Almost all students get placements. I want to take placement and continue for some years then according I'll plan.

Life at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad.

Likes

So many clubs to enhance your hobbies and sports.
So many events and full of enjoyment and power packed.
Very nice placements and intership opportunities for students.

Dislikes

Hostels conditions can be improved by the colledge.
Mess food is not that good it can be improved by the college.
Fest should be conducted for more days like 4 to 5 days.

Placement Experience:

Our college placements are very excellent. And all software, core all companies come in campus placements. The average placement of college is of 17.5 lakhs per year which is very impressive. All to recruiters of every field come in college.

College experience at IIT(ISM) DHANBAD

Likes

Interactions between seniors and juniors
Academic is light, one can handle easily
Clubs activities help in skill development

Dislikes

Professor are not so passionate about teaching
Too much meetings are held , which disturbs academic
Same clubs are very hectic one cannot manage it.

Placement Experience:

This year there was a downfall in the placement percentage of almost all colleges. Generally the mechanical placement goes around 85% . The petroleum is the best branch with 100% placement. Also other branches has descend placement %. The highest package offered in 2023 was around 80 lakhs( on campus).

A future in IIT (ISM) Dhanbad

Likes

A large area campus around 300acre Which provide us for travelling and not make boring anyway.
Asias second largest technical library is there in our campus which makes us motivated.
College have all facility which a college should have.

Dislikes

Campus should be more large so that we can expand infrastructure for future.
Food quality is not good ax expected by anyone but it should be improve in coming year.
Sports ground shoul be more so that all interested students can participate in game.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Btech course is very nice course for engineering and in IIT it makes more popular and powerful than any other course. Btech in any field provide large knowledge about that area in theoretical way and in practical ways. Course have two main semester exam in a year. Level of difficulty is normal and it makes more easier for any IITian because they already have experience of that type of difficulty.

IIT ISM DHANBAD - FROM VISHAK

Likes

I am sports man and like the sports facility here.
I like the professors here and the laboratory that is here.
The library of our college is one of the largest.

Dislikes

Seventy five percent attendance criterion
Mess food is okok and we get bored after some time.
There are too many people and we get less opportunity.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are courses like linear algebra probablity and statistics and it's inference which are all relevant in the field of machine learning and artificial intelligence which is my domain of interest. So I am very satisfied with the branch.

Likes

Seniors and juniors interaction updates students knowledge
Coding culture, college has some societies to give knowledge to students
Healthy competition between students and discrimination free environment

Dislikes

Size of college is major aspect that I didn't like. College should be more large for better living
South Indian and North Indian conflicts sometimes disturbs students
Old curriculum and techniques, we should implement new technology into curriculum

Placement Experience:

Placements are good and decent in our college. Students can participate in placement process from 7th semester. Major companies like Amazon, Microsoft, atlatian and even core companies like Jaguar land rover get participate in our placement process. Our college got a highest of 50 lakh and average of 20 lakh packages

MY LIFE IN IIT

Likes

Professors were helpful , capable and professional.
Fests and religious festivals of all kinds being celebrated.
Seniors guidance and good place to network.

Dislikes

Lack of holidays for a break. The classes start right after mid sem exams.
Attendance is very strict. 75% is mandatory
Mess food is not that good. Given the fees for mess it is understandable but could be improved.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course for its placement statistics. One course has almost 150 students taken by one faculty. The faculty have esteemed cv with many publications and most of them are doctorates. The term exams were very application based and without a grasp of concepts it would be difficult to pass as per general iit standards.

I like to enjoy with my friends. And food is good
In our oat the movies we watched are memorable

The placements of our college is very very good good excellent and fabulous. the internships and preplacement offers are also really good.every branch student is placed well irrespective of their branches.

Which one is better, IIT Dhanbad for ECE or IIT Bhubaneswar for electrical?

IIT Dhanbad ranks 15th among the Engineering category by NIRF 2019. It is a much older establishment than IIT Bhubaneswar. The fee structure for BTech in ECE at IIT Dhanbad is 2,30,120 for one year. It Requires a JEE ranking of 3000-10000 for ECE. The ECE department of IIT Dhanbad has seen 60% placement of students with an average annual salary package of 15 lakhs per annum and highest being 39 lakhs per annum. IIT Dhanbad has a total of 332 faculty members who are highly qualified and experienced members. Out of total, 315 members are Ph.D. holders.

IIT Bhubaneswar ranks 17th in the Engineering category by NIRF 2019. It is one of the newer IITs. The students with JEE ranking between 2000-7000 are eligible for Electrical Engineering in IIT Bhubaneswar. IIT Bhubaneswar in 2019 has seen 89% placement in the Civil Engineering Department with an average annual salary package of 11 lakhs per annum, 39 lakhs per annum being the highest. IIT Bhubaneswar has a total of 145 faculty members who are highly qualified and Ph.D. holders. IIT Bhubaneswar has 2 hostels for boys and girls each. Thus, IIT Dhanbad will be a better option to study ECE than Electrical Engineering from IIT Bhubaneswar because, Being one of the oldest established IITs, IIT Dhanbad is known for its quality of education and their campus life. It also has better and more experienced faculty members.
