University of Jammu M.Sc Geology: Fees 2025, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

The course is characterized by a dedicated and punctual faculty who emphasize research-oriented education. Students face challenging exams with rigorous marking standards. The curriculum includes six subjects per semester, each taught by different instructors, with classes running from 9 AM to 5 PM. A lunch break occurs from 1 PM to 2 PM, and practical sessions are from 2 PM to 5 PM. A minimum of 75% attendance is required to qualify for the final exams.

The annual fee is Rs. 18,000, covering all costs including admission, tuition, field visits, and tours, and is consistent for all students. However, students from SC, ST, OBC, and other regional categories may receive fee refunds or scholarships. For the first year, the total fee ranges from Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 25,000, encompassing both the first and second semesters. This fee structure remains the same for the second year, covering the third and fourth semesters.

In the third semester, a 15-day tour is organized, with visits to states like Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu, fully funded by the department.
