experience of my college, now turned into my second home

The campus is spacious and well maintained, the hostels are excellent and affordable , and the students enjoy a good amount of freedom and autonomy , which is important for both both personal and academic growth.
The faculty is highly qualified. and the teaching style is engaging and clear. Professors are approachable and supportive.
The infrastructure is excellent- especially the classrooms, which are large , well-ventilated na fair-conditioned.. the curriculum is well strict and relevant.

Dislikes

That said, everything is not perfect. The mess food and water quality definitely needs improvement .
Cleanliness and hygiene needs to be improved.
As for the gender ratio, it’s roughly around 35 girls to 97 boys which is quite skewed , but seems to be gradually improving with newer batches .

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course and curriculum is very relevant with respect to the real life world. Medicine as a field is completely applied on real life patients and to cure them . This was the main aspect which motivated me to choose this course as I get to experience everything practically.

A review about aiims rishikesh college

Likes

There is very good environment and climate of rishikesh and weather us also good
There are beautiful buildings inside campus abd its all lush green campus
All the campus is safeguarded by retired army officers all day and night

Dislikes

There is nothing to be dislike in aiims rishikesh h will love everything but one thing is that there is not a particular city like vibe or nughtlife mean after 8 pm everything closes here
You will not hate anything in the campus we will love everything
Only the nightlife is bit less and city like vibe is also less which may br helping presevung nature

There are very much interesting other curriculum activities other than just verbal teaching and tests Like there was an anatomy drawing competition based on brain rangoli so these help us to remember the concepts as well as they are part of fun As well as there are many fests the buggest fest named pyrexia also happens in which last year sony nigam waas invited

Likes

AIIMS Nagpur modern campus provides and ideal learning environment the state of art stimulation labs lecture theatres and Research facilities enable hands on learning the digital inflastructure is also robust with high speed internet connectivity.
The faculty are expert in their fields with the passion for teaching and mentoring they provide personalized guidance helping me developed a strong foundation in medical sciences their experience and knowledge have been invaluable.
AIIMS Nagpur Nagpur emphasizes on research provides hands on experience and exporter to Innovative medical practices it provides many opportunities for collaboration and learning.

Dislikes

I hope more activities will be introduced as the campus lack extra curricular activities and events.
The college is way to far from the city which takes waste of time to travel from City to the college if you want to buy some snacks etc.
I hope the institution will introduce more option

The experience of environment is too too good
The college is really good discipline wise
Teachers are too good here very experienced and on hand experience also

Dislikes

Very long time of course and no earning till last semester
Even after that long time and money we spend we get low stipend
Other things are good but we should have more working experience included as our curriculum because thats we have to do at last

Our stipend should be increased because after first semester we are always helping our seniors and doctors working as nurses we deserve that at least from our third semester all though i would say there is nothing that could be a reason that one should not choose it as there college because only one doing hard work can get that as their life changing college its a great college

My College Experience

Likes

Aiims being a central institute is the dream of all neet aspirants. The infrastructure of our campus is superb. We have a well functional hospital with a very good patient flow.
The quality of sports is also very good. We have courts for basketball, volleyball, badminton amd cricket and football grounds. We also have annual sports fest which is so exciting and fun.
The extracurricular activities are very much promoted in our college. We have our annual fest 'Aura' which is one of the largest fest among medical colleges.

Dislikes

The only thing i don't like is the strict administration of our college. Literally we have to write tests and exams very frequently. We get extremely tired by all this.

Course Curriculum Overview:

MBBS is a hectic course.. And if u only study here u will face depression and your mental health will suck... But that white coat and the tag Dr. Can only be earned through hard work.. I feel it's tough but worth it And the toughness of the course is to make us mentally fit to face any situation... Being a doctor we have to face many things...

AIIMS Rishikesh, A beautiful campus medical college located in the holy city of Rishikesh.

Likes

Central library has ample amount of books and journals.
All the major festivals are celebrated in the campus.
All the faculties are well qualified, experienced and takes intrest in teaching. Faculties also help students in research activities.

Dislikes

Mess food is not up to the mark but tiffin services are available in rishikesh.
Rishikesh is not a big town. Though daily necessities are available at walking distance
Hostels are not that good and single rooms are provided only in 2nd/3rd year.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is nicely designed to prepare us for real world application which includes patient care, administrative and teaching roles. At MBBS level we are well trained to take care at primary level. There should be more and early clinical exposure and instead of PowerPoint presentations, there should be more clinical postings. There are exams after every 2 to 3 months ,which is a good frequency considering the vast syllabus of medical science. Difficulty level is moderate. The examination pattern is 50 percent multiple choice questions and 50 percent subjective/written answers.

Life of MBBS Students at AIIMS Rishikesh

Likes

Wonderful infrastructure, Scenic and most peaceful campus in the lap of mountains and Ganges river.
Excellent research opportunities along with strong research alumni background
Plenty of extra curricular life and opportunities to expand your hobbies along with an amazing annual fest.

Dislikes

As a city rishikesh can be much small with negligible night life
Poor patient load compared to other top state colleges.
While most faculties are determined in their teaching, some still stick to reading slides.

I chose MBBS primarily due to my interest in joining the healthcare workforce and to further my knowledge about the human body, in which I'm particularly interested about. The curriculum is very apt and based on clinical knowledge. The practical classes held are useful in learning and mastering clinical skills to become skilled diagnosticians. Areas of improvement could be removing the obsolete topics from the subjects which are no longer relevant or required in the clinical world. Apart from 4 exams each year. Several small tests are held after completion of a portion of a syllabus monthly. Difficulty level is moderate and one can easily pass by studying 2-3 days before the tests.

PRESTIGIOUS COLLEGE AIIMS RISHIKESH

The infrastructure is obviously very good , considering it a national institute. Everything is amidst nature and very close to nature considdring river ganges flowing just outside the main gate.
Campus life is good to moderate as there are not too much facilities as compared to AIIMS Delhi or IITs . There is no fruit shop inside campus ( though under construction since many years) but there is a lot of social interactions
Faculties are very good and experts in their respective fields. Though the teaching methods are not very good and solely and only depends upon your interest . You have to show interest and go to faculty by your own to learn something. No spoon feedin

Dislikes

Though there are many facilities on paper, only a few works
The work culture here is very toxic in some departments.
The administration here is too controlling and poses many restrictions in too many ways. Sometimes you feel you are struck and not independent as an adult

The cirriculum is very much practical and requires much of practical knowledge apart from theoretical knowledge which is different from many other courses.The course prepares us for many many many difficult situations as cam be seen from vastness and length of the course . Also medicine is very vast and requires a lot of patience . Also , it must be clear to most of you , how difficult and lengthy it is to acquire a personality of a doctor.

College timings are not good as much we want
Not college but MBBS course is tough so we have to work hard for getting pass
