Course Curriculum Overview

3

The AIIMS Delhi curriculum is comprehensive, rigorous and higly relevant to both clinical practice and academic pursuits. Eith minor update on teaching methods and content it can further enhance its already exceptional standards.

Placement Experience

3

AIIMS Delhi does not haveformal campus placements in the conventional sense. Instead medical students rely on internships, post MBBS employment opportunities and further academic or professional training for their career progression. Most students secure their desired career paths through further specialisation or employment in prestigious healthcare institutions

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual fee for the MBBS program at AIIMS Delhi is exceptionally affordable compared to most medical colleges in India. Fee structure Tuition fee: ?1080 per year Other fees ( Including hostel registration etc.): Approximately ?720 per year Total yearly cost:?1800 For entire MBBS course duration of 5.5 years is approximately ?7200. There has been no significant increase in fees for several years. Scholarships AIIMS Delhi offers various scholarships including: 1.Merit cum means scholarships for students demonstrating financial need and academic excellence. 2. Scholarships funded by the Smt. Maya Devi and shri kirpa Ram Kholi Educational Trust and other similar funds

Campus Life

4

Campus life at AIIMS Delhi is a mix of rigorous academics and enriching social experiences. The diverse student community, cultural events and extracurricular opportunities create a holistic environment. While infrastructure improvements and better time management strategies could enhance the experience the vibrant campus culture ensures students have memorable years despite the challenges

Hostel Facilities

4

Freshers are typically accomodated in shared rooms while seniors may get single rooms depending on availability. PG students often have better facilities. Each hostel has a mess, conmon room, laundry service and gym Hostels are located near academy building and hospital Hostels have round the clock security

Admission

AIIMS stand out for its affordability, academic excellence, clinical exposure and global reputation. While competition is intense the effort pays off offering a transformative educational and professional journey I also applied for jipmer but aiims has better funded research program anf more global collaborations. For admission process Student must have completed 10+2 with chemistry, biology , physics and English AIIMS previously had a separate exam but now admits students based on neet score Admission is finalised by central counceling conducted by NMC

Faculty

3

1. AIIMS Delhi maintains an excellent faculty to student ratio ensuring personalised attention. 2. Facilulty members are highly supportive and approachable. 3. Dr. Randeep Guleria is renowned for his expertise and mentorship. 4. Some students report that few of the faculty members can be overly critical during assessment which is discouraging. Course structure 1. First year: Subject- physiology, biochemistry, anatomy 2. Second year Subject: pathology, microbiology, pharmacology, forensic medicine 3. Third to fifth year Subject: medicine, surgery, paediatrics, obstetrics, gynaecology and others Exam Exams are conducted in a semester wise format with internal and external assessments. Marking scheme: internal assessment consistes of 30% of total marks and rest comprises of final examination Failure rate: 10 to 15%

Night Life

4

The nightlife in and around AIIMS Delhi is moderate and largely influenced by its central location in south Delhi. Given the demanding academic schedule students may not have as much free time explore nightlife but the surrounding area offers plenty of options for relaxation abd socialising. On campus nightlife includes central library , night canteens, cultural nights Off campus nightliffe includes cafes and eateries and many hangout spots

Course Curriculum Overview:

The MBBS curriculum is mostly standard, but its relevance is super high because of the massive patient load at SJH. That clinical exposure is the key thing that prepares you for both real life and NEET PG later—that’s why I chose VMMC. Improvements? We need less lecturing and more interactive case discussions and maybe more emphasis on research. Exams are non-stop, seriously! We have internals/semester exams every 3-4 months. They are tough (50% passing), but they force you to study well for the final big Proffs. It’s tiring, but it works.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very well structured and includes detailed study of all the aspects of medicine which is very relevant in today's world. Since mbbs curriculum is more about practical and less about theory we get a really good patient exposure which makes us ready to deal with patient problems in real life. The course curriculum can be made a little less hectic as in fourth year there are 11 subjects to cover so they can be distributed equally in all the other years and teaching methods can be made more interactive instead of professors just reading the slides monotonously

Curriculum of mbbs is very comprehensive and makes you capable of handling medical emergencies, and not miss out on diagnosing critical cases. With the new CBME curriculum by nmc in place, additional focus is also given on the AETCOM (attitude, ethics and communication) module which is aimed at improving the quality of healthcare professionals produced by this country.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is decided by the NMC therefore it is same for all of the doctors. Our college has a good clinical exposure and thus we learn a lot. The course prepares you well, but you always have to learn by yourself. In the area of clinical expertise the treatment of common disease must be taught separately. We have exams Nearly every 3 months, which can be tough to manage, considering that you have to score an average of more than 50% in them . Difficulty level is intermediate
