Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is fine. Here they prefer to rely on standard textbooks for better knowledge. And the postings here gives you very good practice and practical knowledge. Here we get to see a lot of complex and rarer cases in the ward.

Internships Opportunities

4

1 year internship is compulsory for MBBS Students after qualifying the final MBBS exam. It involves rural as well as ward postings. Rural postings is for 3 months. And ward postings are in the AIIMS Hospital itself

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees here at AIIMS is equal for all categories, and it is a one time full-payment fee. During the admission, Rs.1628/- has to be paid for 5 years MBBS course along with Rs.1000/- as a security deposit which is refundable. For hostel, about Rs.2500/- has to be paid which include charges for gymkhana, library, 24/7 water and electricity, etc. for all 5 years. All these fees are inclusive of all taxes; no extra fees to be given during whole 5 years course. In hostel, we get double bed rooms for first year and single bed rooms from second year onwards. We get all basic amenities in the hostel rooms, which includes study table, chair, bed and a godrej cupboard, two very nice quality led tubelights, and bldc, i.e., remote controlled fans. Also we can fit ACs whose rent is just Rs.5000-6000/- per annum, and the best no charges for electricity, it's free. We are free to use any electriconic devices from fridge, inductions to ACs. This fees structure has been the same from last many years and hasn't yet been increased.

Campus Life

4

The campus life is very good. The infrastructure is fine and well maintained. The student association organises various fests every year. All students can very well enjoy their hobbies and all kind of sports.

Hostel Facilities

5

All hostels rooms come with a bed, a table and chair, and fan and lights. Meal quality is good. We have about 6 messes, we can wherever we like. Registration process is done during admission only and the hostel fees is just around 3500 rupees for 5 years.

Admission

AIIMS Delhi is the best among all medical colleges for its academics, facilities, fees everything. I also applied for other colleges which includes MAMC,Delhi; AIIMS Bhopal; AIIMS Nagpur, in case I didnt get AIIMS-D. But luckily according to my rank I got allotted AIIMS Delhi.

Faculty

4

All the faculties are approachable. Phone no. as well as email is provided of each faculty in the teaching scehdule. Regarding our exams, sometimes they are tough, sometimes they are easy. Marking by professors vary from person to person and also according to their mood. A really nice thing that I like is that there are no exams in the third year. We have to just attend the postings. Fail ratio is comparatively, they fail in internals by making papers and marking hard, but in professional exams almost everyone gets passed.

Night Life

5

All hostels are open 24/7. There's no in/out timings. We have amul, coffee shop and nescafe which are open 24/7. Along with that we have night messes too. Library is open 24/7 except on national holidays. Thr locality as well as the campus is completely safe at night.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very well structured and includes detailed study of all the aspects of medicine which is very relevant in today's world. Since mbbs curriculum is more about practical and less about theory we get a really good patient exposure which makes us ready to deal with patient problems in real life. The course curriculum can be made a little less hectic as in fourth year there are 11 subjects to cover so they can be distributed equally in all the other years and teaching methods can be made more interactive instead of professors just reading the slides monotonously

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum of mbbs is very comprehensive and makes you capable of handling medical emergencies, and not miss out on diagnosing critical cases. With the new CBME curriculum by nmc in place, additional focus is also given on the AETCOM (attitude, ethics and communication) module which is aimed at improving the quality of healthcare professionals produced by this country.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is decided by the NMC therefore it is same for all of the doctors. Our college has a good clinical exposure and thus we learn a lot. The course prepares you well, but you always have to learn by yourself. In the area of clinical expertise the treatment of common disease must be taught separately. We have exams Nearly every 3 months, which can be tough to manage, considering that you have to score an average of more than 50% in them . Difficulty level is intermediate

Course Curriculum Overview:

1. Bcoz in mbbs in addition to money there is also a lot of respect, plus it is easy to explain what are u doing ? 2. There are a total of 100 students in our batch and there are at least 2-3 assistant professors, 1 head of department, and at least 4-5 postgraduate and senior residents 3. Assistant professor and Head of the department has already completed there pg's and has experience of 5-10 year of teaching, Senior resident had also completed their pg but the difference between sr's, AP, and HoD is that sr's have lack of experience 4. There is an exam after completion of a particular unit and this is easy then comes the term exam which occurs after 2-3 months it comes under the category of moderate then there is pre-proof before the proof this is quite hard even for some say it's harder than proof, then finally comes off the last exam of that particular year after proof another year start bcoz results of proof usually take 2,3,4 weeks at least
