IIT Patna B.Tech Data Science and Artificial Intelligence: Fees 2025, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

IIT Patna has expanded its offerings with new branches and dual degree programs, increasing student intake but affecting the faculty-to-student ratio and NIRF ranking. The institution still provides excellent academic and research opportunities. In 2022, 96% of students secured placements, with 154 companies making 412 job offers. The CSE department achieved a 100% placement rate, with an average package of 38 LPA and a highest domestic offer of 82 LPA.

Students can start internships from the third year, with around 30-40 companies visiting for internships annually. Companies like Google, Amazon, and Microsoft offer roles with stipends ranging from Rs. 70,000 to Rs. 180,000, sometimes reaching Rs. 200,000. Despite economic challenges, placement and internship opportunities remain strong. Tuition fees are based on family income: families earning less than Rs. 1 lakh per year receive full waivers, those earning between Rs. 1-5 lakh pay one-third of the fees, and the standard tuition fee is Rs.

1 lakh per semester. Including additional costs, the first semester totals approximately Rs. 1.85 lakh. The estimated cost for a 4-year BTech program without aid is between Rs. 10-12 lakhs. Financial support includes MMVY and NSP scholarships, merit-based scholarships, and full fee waivers for SC/ST/PwD students. Fee reimbursement and interest-free loans are also available.
