Course Curriculum Overview
I used to have a keen interest in science that lead me to choosing science with computer science in class 11. Physics being one of my favourite subject helped me a lot to develop interest in further studies. It was then I got to know iit jee better from the class 11 and then the hustle began. The application of the curriculum prepares you to handle real life situations, I still see any scenario and kind of apply Physics to it so that I get a good overview of the scenario. I would say it has prepared me for almost everything those sleepless night, the journey from school to coaching and then Coaching to home. My studies got disturbed a lot in class 11 due to corona virus as all institute and school adopted the digital mode for me digital mode was no quite suitable as I was not able to concentrate, the online mode was not good for me if there was offline mode I could have done better. The difficulty of the exam was quiet hard and it was lengthy too. It was a game of strategy.
Fees and Financial Aid
IIT Patna is considered to be one of the costly IITs it charged a total of 1.85 lakhs for the first semester which included all the expenses like travell fees, institute fees, academic fees, hostel and mess fees. As I estimated the total cost of completing the education of 4 year would be somewhat around 10 to 12 lakhs. There are several scholarship for the students. Financial aid is given like charging 1/3 of the fees to exempting tuition fees that is totally dependent on family income. As of now I have not taken any campus placement As I am still in 1st year, but my seniors have got h good placement packages and opportunities.
Campus Life
There are major 3 fest that happen in the campus namely Celesta Infinito and Anwesha. For this year celesta and infinito are being held one after another with a Gap 1 to 2 weeks in October next Anwesha being the largest fest of IIT patna would be held in late winter time till now the dates has not be finalised yet. There are a vast ranges of book and journals in the library and the almost every book is accessible in the library. The library provides a peace of mind for students to study. Classrooms(Lecture Hall) consist of smart board and 2 LED TV to project the smart board for the whole class,also one lecture hall hold a capacity of 350 to 370 students. There are 6 lecture halls and a tutorial block which has a lot of classroom in it. Tutorial block are designed for the different branch wise classes it has 3 boards 2 green board and 1 white board along with it a projector and Television to project the work that is done on the board.
Admission
First and foremost coming to the eligibility for JEE was atleast 75 percent in board with PCM or PCMB. Next the exam was conducted in two phase. 1st was JEE Mains that was conducted in 2 sessions , 1st attempt was in January last week toh February first week. Next 2nd attempt was in April. The first attempt was comparatively easy to the second attempt as it was the attempt where majority of students which were of class 12 excluding the droppers which appeared in second attempt. So scoring in 1st attempt was a cake walk. Next phase was JEE ADVANCED which was on June 4th it was futher conducted in two session first was in morning and second in afternoon comprising of 6 hours of screen time in total. It was one of the toughest exam among the previous JEE Advanced Paper The admission process was simplistic but was very lengthy. After Jee Advanced you were supposed to be register for josaa counselling. It was a 6 round process for IIT's and after that few rounds were for NIT,IIIT and GFIT.
