I have not applied with any other college i have taken admission in only 1 college that is IIT PATNA. No i didn't got any rejection from any other college. Admission processes is through rank of jee main and jee advance through josaa counseling and even with IITPSAT exam. Before finalizing this college, I had applied to a few other institutes as well. My main criteria while choosing a college were course structure, flexibility, fees, and recognition of the degree. I had applied to colleges like: A reputed private university offering the same online program One state university with a distance learning option One open university for a similar course Out of these, I received confirmed admission offers from two colleges, including my current college. I chose this college mainly because of the better course structure, reasonable fees, and more organized online learning system. Compared to the other colleges, this institute had a more industry-oriented syllabus, better digital platform, and clearer academic policies. Another important factor was the fee structure. Some other colleges had much higher fees, while a few had very low fees but weaker academic support. My current college offered a good balance between quality and affordability, which influenced my final decision. Rejections and What Went Wrong Yes, I did face rejection from one of the colleges I applied to. The main reason was that my entrance exam score was slightly below their cutoff. That college had a higher cutoff for my category, and due to heavy competition, I could not make it to the merit list. In another case, I missed the admission deadline because of delay in document verification, so my application was not considered in the final round. This taught me the importance of keeping track of deadlines and cutoffs carefully. I was already pursuing my B Tech degree in the College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology OUAT Bhubaneswar. This college allows you to take admission in BS alongwith a B. Tech or any other degree(NEP 2020 policy). I appeared in NEET 2024 and qualified it with a score of 396/720. I shared my NEET score card when I applied to take admission in BS program. You can take admission through JEE or CUET or any other significant national level or statelevel entrance exams. If you have my appeared in any significant national or statelevel entrance exams after 12th, you can appear in IIT-SAT exam for taking admission in this course, but mathematics is mandatory. Maths should be a subject during your 12th. I visited the official website of IIT Patna, downloaded the brochure for taking admission in BS program in AI-CS. Then I contacted the admission team mentioned in the brochure. They guided me about the admission process. You need 10th and 12th marksheet, passport size photocopyz adhaar card, income certificate, resident certificate, etc, upload all the mentioned documents in pdf format in the correct order, send it to their email, then courier the documents in the given address, then after payment of fees you are a student of IIT Patna BS program and you will get an ID card of IIT Patna BS program after some days delivered to your address. The admission was smooth, but you have to keep yourself up-to-date and check your WhatsApp, messages and gamil/Outlook regularly to get the information.
