- The faculty members of our department are very helpful and all are experienced teachers and their teaching methods are also good.
- The campus of the university is very beautiful and calm.
- Hostel facilities are also very good, the hostel infrastructures are very good and the hygiene is also well maintained in the hostels .
Dislikes
- The over stress because of the exam pattern
- Even though the university excells in academic excellence but the pressure is too much high. More extra curricular activities may nitiated.
- Not much funded nternships are provided by the University or departments.

Remarks:
It is a well recognised university under the central government with good ranking. It has brilliant teachers and they have done great work in research.
I had checked their work which really fascinated me. Moreover our university campus is so beautiful. Probably one of the most beautiful campus in North East. The facilities are also great and i love the place Tezpur which has great heritage and has been the home of many artists. I took feedbacks from seniors about teachers and so finally decided to go there.

Tezpur University is the only Central University situated in Assam, and getting a seat in this prestigious college was a dream come true. It has a lot of greenery as well. The one and only bad aspect of TU is that its located in a very remote area, far away from the town.

Placement Experience:
After the 4th year student becomes eligible enough for campus placement.
If you're opting for a good placement here it'll be really difficult to do so. first, there is less number No. Of companies visiting here because it is approx.120 km from the main city. Also, the percentage of students getting placed is less than 30 percent at an average of 3-3.6 lac LPA.

Placement Experience:
The campus placements are not that good here except a few. Students of 8th semester opt for placements. The companies that visit include amazon, oracle, Wipro etc.
The highest package received till date acc. to my knowledge is 11 lac.
The percentage of students getting in campus placements will be somewhere around 30.
I opt for higher studies after I get my BTech degree.

Tezpur University is a greatest institutional hub in overall Assam. It is one the ranking institution overall India. I am very much pleased that i having the opportunity to pursue master degree in this university. It's also situated nearer to my hometown and i choose to achieve the opportunity from this university.

Campus facilities, college Ranking, placement records. The thing I liked about my university is its surrounding and campus. It had everything that a student need to become a global leader and citizen. Every talent gets a way to express in this university. I choose Food Engineering because it is something which is related to life. Without food nothing survives.To end hunger from this world its important to fortify food and reduce wastage. That's why I chose this course so that I could be of some help to this world.

This institute was not my first priority. But still it was in my priority list. Why I keep this institute in priority list, reason is that Tezpur University is one of the most sought-after central universities in India and ranked globally for excellence in academia, Tezpur University has been catering to a wide range of courses since the past 27 years.

Yes, I think our administration pressurised so much more. We feel so stressed and depressed. They even shut down the festival celebration which had to help us to refresh our minds to keep up with our studies.

One of my friends attended Tezpur University. His experience with the university has not been good. Here are some of the things that she shared with me.
- The administration there is headed by only one person and the VC is not cooperative.
- You will get in trouble if any of your batch mates get involved in any misbehavior.
- Attending classes there is very important and otherwise, you may not be allowed to do your internships.
- The library is inadequate. The wifi facility on campus is also not that good.
- The placement record of the institute is average. The average CTC offered at the recent placement drive was 3.5 LPA.
So, if you have other better options go for it.

What is your review of mechanical engineering department, Tezpur University?

One of my friends studied Mechanical at Tezpur University. Let me share his experiences and knowledge about the college. He, being a student there, will know the intricacies of the college and how they function.
- Faculty: The mechanical department hosts a really good faculty. Most of them are good at teaching and all of them have a great research-oriented mindset.
- Projects: About 80% of the projects are based on numerical simulations. These include optimization, analysis, modeling, developing CFD solvers, Comsol modeling and the rest are mainly experimental.
- Specialization: The department mainly started its M.Tech course in 2013 with a specialization in Applied mechanics. The Thermal and Fluid Engineering specialization began in 2016 and from 2018 onwards, another specialization in Machine Design was also started. The department is definitely growing with time.

Overall, the mechanical department at Tezpur University is not as good as IITs but it is much better than many private as well as newly built NITs in the country.
