Scholarships like merit-cum-means and institute free studentship are available based on merit and financial need.
Iit guwahati is renowned not only for its academic excellence but also for the picturesque beauty for its campus, making it one the most aesthetically pleasing educational instituitions in india.

Dislikes

Gate was entrance exam for this course.i found the application form and details in iitg website only.reservation is available but i am not eligible for that .exams are so difficult .it is so much difficult
Hostel mess food is very bad, and very less food outlets
The heavy workload, with assignments, projects, and exams, stress students. balancing studies with extracurriculars and personal life is be tough.

Experiencing the life at Dream College

campus infrastructure and its nature. Lots of greenery and things to explore
Library and Classrooms vibe is nice making it more efficient to study
Canteen and Juice Centers in few distances

Placement Experience:

In Btech, 4th year students can sit for placements in 7th semester. Placement is what IITs are known for. Our college stands out in placement as compared to others. But is still weaker than those old six IITs. But still there are lot of opportunites in all domains. We get chances to explore any domain we want and each has quite a lot opportunities. Stats for top branches like CSE, MNC and ECE is really good. From not circuital, the opportunites are there and stats are relativily less but still good enough. Last year highest package was around 2.4 cr and average goes around like 18lakhs. Percentage placed is around 88%.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is a good course in terms of Theory. The practical aspects still needs upgradation. For learning insdustry level skills, one needs self development courses. These are done by working in various Student Activity Clubs provided by the Institute itself.

Students are eligible fir placements after 7 th semester. Almost all top tier companies from quadeye,rubrik,alphagrep,microsoft,google etc come for placements and more than 1000 offers were made Highest package was around 2.4 cr abd average is around 18 lakhs Around 70 percent got placed To get a job

My campus is so beautiful and the sports facilities are excellent
Library is too good and reading facilities in every hostel
Alcheringa- the annual cultural fest of iitg, best times of college

Dislikes

College is too big that we have to travel in cycle all the time
The place where college is located is far from city

Placement Experience:

My college placements are great to around 90 percent but placements in my core are not so good, around 75 percent. Students become eligible from 7th semester. Highest package is around 33 lpa and lowest is 6 lpa. My plan is to sit for placements.

I like my campus a lot it's beauty is so much
Alcheringa a cultural festival is Northeast biggest festival

Acedemic load is very much here .exam time are stress full
Students in clubs are not that active.they don't participation in club activities

Very good aspects are focused and give a journey of my campus

Likes

I like the campus greenery, nature and infra structure which gives a very good vibe .
I like the sports grounds which are very capable to explore your favourite sport
I like bus facility provided to us for going out of the campus.

Dislikes

I don't like the busy curriculum of our campus
I don't like some old courses that they teaches to is which will not useful.
I don't like that in single occupancy room there's are two people live in hostel.

Placement Experience:

In 7th semester of BTech there's a placement cell activated and all the campus students of this semester can apply for placement and get their jobs in their respected fields . There's almost all companies are came to our campus around 350 companies.we have 85 % of registered candidates are selected in placements. After degree these is a few will select higher studies.

Life at IITG, good and the bad

Likes

Good infrastructure and beautiful campus
Many clubs and fest happening throughout the year
The group of students are really well talented forcing you to improve as well

Dislikes

The mess food and availability of good quality of food is really bad
The hostel is also not that good, as they are very old and not well maintained
The courses are quite old and not have changed from over years

Placement Experience:

The placements stats are good, obviously because it's an IIT, but it still depends on the market and your personal skill. We are also offered internships in the 3 Rd year. The placements are also little branch dependent, like the case students obviously get more package than the other branch students

To be eligible for admission to M.Tech programs, you need to have graduated in B.Tech with 60% or M.Sc/AMIETE degree then appear for GATE entrance test.
