NERIST Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The campus scenario is improving day by day but it is not still upto the mark. Many companies come for hiring but most of which offer only average package of 4LPA which is very less compared to other colleges. Highest package ranges from 8-10 LPA.

The Placement opportunities are given in our college no doubt. After graduation a person becomes eligible for placement opportunities, if he or she wants to study more then other options are also in our university

The placements are good so far and every year at least 80% of students get placed and the companies that come to give placements are mostly core companies. The average package every year is 8LPA. So I do have a plan to sit on placement.

Placements are very average in my opinion because out of 50 plus students, only a few used to get the placement and there are no higher companies, packages are also average like 6 LPA per annum and for my electronics and communication branch placement is almost not available like 2 to maximum 5 students.

For the 8th sem campus placement is available, but for very fewer students like 1 for every 20 students. Vadanta, TCS companies comes with a package of around 8LPA. Highest package is 9.72LPA and on an average it's around 6LPA(this is also given to only a few students). Less than 10% students get the on campus placement. I will go for higher studies.

Students after completing their BTech 3rd year are eligible to sit for campus placements based on their CGPA and no active backlogs. As per my knowledge which I heard from my seniors, there are some companies with high paying packages around 15-20 lakhs

Campus placements are eligible for final year students after passing the exam and passing the interview by different companies who come looking for new interns. I dont know much about the companies who visits the institute.i dont much as well about the percentage of students getting placement not the highest and average package .

Its quite a decent college . The academic pressure is like all other engineering colleges. U get to enjoy a lot of fest and tech activities including sports etc. Laboratories are there to conduct the experiment and all . Faculty members are quite good here. The weather of this place is soothing u will love the weather but its a bit complicated too much changes keeps happening its unpredictable here . There is quite good library with quite good no. of books and it have wifi facility which u can use easily as per ur need. Here the courses offered are BTech in Agricultural Engineering. BTech in computer science. Btech in Electrical engineering Electronics and comminucation engineering Mechanical Engineering as well as Civil Engineering These are the only branches in which the Btech courses are offered . U can even pursue Bsc in Forestry from here.

It is a government college and fee are less for both hostel and college. There are two course Btech and Bsc at forestry. I am studying Btech 1st yr branch Electronic and communication. They give good facility.

The campus lies in a beautiful place and the management are usually very helpful at getting things done.
