Likes

Financial helps are giving yearly to the toppers of each department.
This college is celebrating many activities like racaf the cultural fest , synergy the sports week and the shristi the technical fest in student can perform as per their interest .
Placement are good as nerist is the best college in northeast regions

Dislikes

Placement is there but very poor 40/500 students tata, vedanta, oil india , gr infra , srijan,pradan,sales companies a fiew max package is 9 lpa and lowestbis 2.16 lpa around 10/12% students gets placememt
Hostel facilities are not good as i can say it very average like fooding is not good , sometimes electricity issues occurs and water issues in the bathroom and basins and also drinking water cooler is stopped working sometimes
Internship fees are not being supported by college. although the travelling expenses are being payed from college

Northeastern regional institute of science and technology

Likes

Campus life are quite good and all the faculty are taking classes regularly
Hostel are clean and have free spaces for study amd other activity
Health care are also good and bus are provided for classes

Dislikes

as college are far from airport it is very hard for us to travel
Mess food are not good but with that less fee it is ok
Road are not good for walking and all are good

The Electrical Engineering course curriculum is quite comprehensive, covering key areas like circuit analysis, electronics, and power systems, which has well-prepared me for real-world applications, although incorporating more hands-on projects and industry insights could further enhance its relevance.

My college experience

Likes

College fee structure for engineering course.
It's in my state so it's good considering studying in other states.
Teachers are friendly and many opportunities are provided to all students.

Dislikes

Hostel are too old but they are building new ones.
Distance between my hostel to my department.
To many programs disturb my studying schedule.

Placement Experience:

Very few students get placement in my college. Students from 6 semester are eligible for campus placement. NEEPCO and OIL are the one who frequently visit NERIST with placement offers. A minimum of 7.5 CGPA is needed for placement offers.

Life at NERIST

Likes

The fist thing would be the location of the campus. It is located in the beautiful state of Arunachal Pradesh. Hence it provides breathtaking views in and around the campus.
The presence of many clubs and societies help in the overall growth of the students .
The faculty in the campus is very helpful and experienced.

Dislikes

The infrastructure of the college could be further improved to provide better facilities to the students.
The placement scenario in the college is not still upto the mark and can be improved further.
Though the boy and girl ratio is nor that bad but in certain courses the no. Of girl students are very limited.

Placement Experience:

The campus scenario is improving day by day but it is not still upto the mark. Many companies come for hiring but most of which offer only average package of 4LPA which is very less compared to other colleges. Highest package ranges from 8-10 LPA.

NERIST my college

Likes

The college boasts a strong faculty base,with professor who are not only experts in their respective field but also genuinely invested in students sucess
One of the most fullfilling aspects of college life was the array of extracurricular activities and campus events.
The college’s placement services were a significant strength

Dislikes

One of the biggest challenges was the heavy workload
While the college had a vibrant student body, it could have been done more to encourage a diverse range of perspectives
Occasionally the administrative processes such as handling paperwork or scheduling issues were slow and cumbersome

At my college students generally become eligible for campus placement starting in their 7th semester. The college attracts a wide range of companies both from core sectors and from non-core sectors.tech companies are L&T , infosys , Tata. The highest package in the recent placement season was ?1200000 LPA bu VEDANTA

Experiences in Nerist

Likes

Disciplined time table for classes and lab sessions
75% attendance criteria which is strictly followed
Environment and infustructure as the college is surrounded by hills with pleasant view

Dislikes

Boys hostel facility and the food being provided
Lab instruments, as most of them are out of service
Classroom conditions are good but the AC in the degree block section does not work properly

Course Curriculum Overview:

The theory classes are going good and healthy way and so we have no problems regarding the theory classes but the practical classes are in weak condition as most of the instruments are not in working condition . So the institute must work on this problem

NERIST Review: The Ground Reality

Likes

I liked the overall affordability of the college as the yearly fees is just around rupees 16 thousand.
I liked the the environment of the campus as it surrounded by green himalayan foothills and situated in an urban area with good facilities like shops and restaurants.
I liked the friendly environment provided by the students of the college with absolutely zero ragging.

Dislikes

I disliked the faculty of the college as most of the professors are old aged and lack the ability to teach students in a modern way.
I did not like the placement facilities of my college as there are absolutely zero big companies that come here for campus placements.
I did not like the condition of the classrooms of the college and they are in dire need of maintenance.

Placement Experience:

The placements of the college is pretty average as most of the core companies have not visited the college for more than two times. Companies like OIL, PGCL, ONGC, etc have visited the college very few times and come after a gap of 2-3 years. Moreover, they choose only 1-2 students from each department. Tech companies like Tech mahindra, cognizant, etc come to the college but offer pretty low packages of just 4-6 LPA.

SMALL BUT BENEFICIAL

Likes

I have likes about the atmosphere and the place that is between the mountains.
Anti-ragging comittee is very good here. They are very friendly and help the students in every way they can.
The clubs are wonderful. They provide very good mentoring about if you have any interest in others than the studies. The sports club is the excellent to be must say.

Dislikes

However the things I dislike can be that there response regarding hostels are a bit slow but not that slow they work but yah slowly

Placement Experience:

The placement are very good here. I have joined recently so yah I don't know much about the highest and average placement of the institute. The highest percentage among all is from mechanical. The students of mechanical engineering had a higher percentage of jobs as compared to other branches. I will do M.Tech after my B.Tech.

The fee structure and also the environment.

The infrastructure here is not bad but have to go way more far.

Placement Experience:

For getting placement, We gave to be first eligible without having any backlogs . The companies that use to visit are google, Microsoft, L & T ,and so on. The percentage is 6.5 and above CGPA . My plans is to go for competitive exams.

First experience of my college

Likes

I liked the ratio of girls and boys in my college, i guess 43:57 ratio of girls and boys in my college
environment around the college is very pleasant and pure. It provide good environment to live and study
I liked about the college management, they provides good atmosphere for social interaction among the students.

Dislikes

They haven't provided transportation service. Which is making definitely for us while going to college

For campus placement, students from b.tech final year 1st sem were eligible for campus placement. Last year handsome amount of company visit our college, like vedanta, tata, oil and many more. Appox. 75% students gets placement in campus. I have planned to doing m.teach from any iits or nits.

Life in NERIST

Likes

Teachers are friendly and easily approachable.
I like the campus. The campus is vast and covers an area of 513 acres.
The infrastructure is good. it provide facilities such as gym, hospital, auditorium, play ground etc.

Dislikes

Some class room has become old, dusty and stuffy.
Lack of equipment in laboratories and old machinary equipments

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are lot of curriculum activities such as National Cade Crops( NCC) and National Sevice Scheme (NSS ) NSS helps student to develop their characters and personality which will have positive impact on the community or society. From time to time the NSS officials initiate the cleaness drive program within the campus and they encourage the studens to participate the program. In NERIST there is a major events like SHRISTI and RACAF which is celebrated every year.
