Course Curriculum Overview

5

I have choose this course as in my point of view the field of mechanical engineering is very vast and yah you will never get out the jobs. I also have a keen interest in automobiles so yah I have choose this field for the enthusiasm in my blood to learn this all. Indeed the faculties are excellent for this course. I am learning a lot from them as they are excellent. The faculties also train us to face the real world and how to improve in the field. The curriculum is very good and I don't think so there needed any change.

Internships Opportunities

4

I had joined recently so I don't have a good knowledge in this. But as per our seniors whom I asked about this they told that you will get a good opportunity regarding this and yes there are internship camps which run during the breaks and all.

Placement Experience

5

The placement are very good here. I have joined recently so yah I don't know much about the highest and average placement of the institute. The highest percentage among all is from mechanical. The students of mechanical engineering had a higher percentage of jobs as compared to other branches. I will do M.Tech after my B.Tech.

Fees and Financial Aid

Firstly I have paid a amount of 22000 in the time of admission which include the tuition fee including caution fees and other fees. As a hostel student I have paid a fee of 19k including food and stay with caution money. They provide a good amount of scholarships for those who are availing that also for other scholarships like nsp they promote all to fill and help in every possible way they can. They often organize seminars regarding every academic aspects that can be possible.

Campus Life

5

There are 3 fests. 1. Racaf the cultural fest 2. Synergy the sports fest 3. Shristi the technical fest They are done with so positivity and goodly. You will experience a vast cultural aspects of different religions, caste, etc. as here students come from all over India. There are unions ofcourse The SUN- STUDENTS UNION OF NERIST controls all over the students of Nerist. There are unions of different states as well and a union called NAISA- NERIST ALL INDIA STUDENTS ASSOCIATION.

Hostel Facilities

5

The facilities we are provided in the hostels is very good. From food to accomodation every think is very good. We have grounds for different sports as well as inner rooms for indoor games. As nerist is a residential university no one is allowed to stay in outside other than nerist hostel.

Admission

As you know this is a deemed to university and directly controlled by the government of India. Here you will get a lot of opportunities to indulge you both academically and is you have any personal interest like sports and all. I had applied to some college but I among them this is the best. I had failed jee by a percentile of 3 so yah for that I had chosen this on else I would be in an nit or IIT. But this is very good university and I had learning a lot from here. Their are several methods of admission here. Firstly you can give NEE- Nerist entrance exam which is conducted in 3 patterns- 1. NEE-I For those who have passed class 10 and can come there to get a diploma in ME,AE,ECE and EE. 2. NEE-II for those who have completed class 12 as well as diploma or 10+2 equivalent. 3. NEE-III For those who completed diploma of 3 years in any specific field like polytechnic. Or else you can have admission through your jee marks. Cutoff for the NEE is quite good and yah the question pattern is however same if you compare to jee but yah somehow easy it is.

Faculty

5

The faculties are very good. They are very friendly and yah you don't have to hesitate to ask any questions regarding academic as well as your personal. There are some faculties you won't believe that they are teachers, they will treat you as a small brother or sister like own. Our mechanical branch faculties are well educated and very proficient in their jobs. Our director Mr S Chandrashekar is very friendly and he often visits in our hostel as well and talk with us very goodly. I often had a walk with sir in the evening and he guides you very perfectly. The exams are conducted in 2 patterns first is the mid sem exams and the end sem exam. Between them quiz, assignment, projects, etc. are nicely done. The mid sem exams consists of 30 marks and the end sem is of 50 marks. The exams are a bit easy if you really studies or else you might get zero also. All the questions are asked on the basis of syllabus only nothing out of them. If you study you will indeed good score in he exams for sure.

The course curriculum was good. But it should be better by including more practical and site visits for better learning. The exams were not that much difficult you can pass easily. Exam frequency was also good

The Electrical Engineering course curriculum is quite comprehensive, covering key areas like circuit analysis, electronics, and power systems, which has well-prepared me for real-world applications, although incorporating more hands-on projects and industry insights could further enhance its relevance.

The campus scenario is improving day by day but it is not still upto the mark. Many companies come for hiring but most of which offer only average package of 4LPA which is very less compared to other colleges. Highest package ranges from 8-10 LPA.

From 7th semester, we are eligible for placements. I am from cse branch and most students of CSE get placed with a decent package. Let's see what happens with my batch as my batch has the most students as compared to other batches. Last year the placements were not so good due to recession. Other branches like mechanical, ece, civil too get companies. I don't know about electrical engineering. But we get good number of opportunities for cse.
