- The restaurant and night canteen are best and food of these restaurant are so so tasty that you will never gonna miss you home food again.

- Attandance - 85% attandance is very disgusting.. i never heard 85% in another collage except nit rourkela,

At my college, campus placements usually begin in the penultimate semesters, so final-year students are eligible.The best package stands out and demonstrates the quality of the chances on offer, while the average package emphasises how competitive the placements are overall. A notable proportion of students obtain placements, demonstrating the school's dedication to improving employability. The college offers helpful career counselling, promoting alternative pathways like further education, entrepreneurship, or internships, for individuals who choose not to participate in campus placements. After graduation, I want to use the abilities I've gained in the industry to make a significant contribution to the field I've chosen.

Placement Experience:
100 percent placements from 7th semester students are eligible for placements section. Microsoft, texas, American Express,etc. highest package was around 1 crore above and the average was 12 lakhs. My plans are business.

- Campus Life is very nice in NITR although the night life has become strictier
- Placement is good and is completely handled by CDC smoothly

- Faculty and course curriculum can be much better
- Many big companies still don't come for placements
Placement Experience:
From 3rd year students are eligible for internship opportunities and 4 th yr students are eligible for placements. About 100 to 150 companies visit every year. Many big companies visit like Microsoft , Amazon AWS, Disney plus hotstar etc which provide CTC of about 50 lpa.

Placement Experience:
From 3rd year students become eligible for internships and From 4th year eligible for placements. Many companies visit to our campus for plcacements like Texas Instruments, Oracle, Accenture, P&G, Qualcomm, SAP Labs, Tata Steel Limited, Wells Fargo, Natwest, Mathworks, etc. There is around 1600 total offers made. Highest package is around 45LPA. Avg is around 12 LPA. This is almost same for all profiles. Almost 99% placement. Obviously placement. If not then GATE- MTECH

- Culture, peer groups, clubs, hostel facilities are decent having the indoor and outdoor game facilities also having really great gardens outside.
- The infrastructure is one of the best in India. The campus is really huge and adds lots of memories. It also has lots of reataurants inside it.
Dislikes
- Sometimes the food is not of good quality in mess and sometimes the staff behaviour is not nice.
- The studies here for circuital branches is really hectic and less time for extra curricular.
Placement Experience:
Placements are quite good in our college. Almost everybody can get placed if they have decent preparartions. For branches like circuital , Cs and mining its 100% most of the time. There were 1000 offers for btech courses last year in 2023. Higest package was 91 lpa from Uipath from Elcetronics and Instrumentation Engineering and lowest was 4 lpa from utkarsh small finance bank. The other companies they come are Microsoft, Oracle , texas instruments , qualcomm , American express , John deere and many more. My plan is get a job in core industry in company such as texas instruments or qualcomm or any better company.

- The beautiful campus of NITR spread over 1200 acres is worth exploring.
- The seniors here are very friendly and helpful and do not discriminate on the basis of region or zone.
Dislikes
- The academics and allround development of student cam be encouraged and supported.
- The quality of mess food need to be worked upon and should be enhanced and be hygienic.
Placement Experience:
Students become eligible for placements from the seventh semester for placements in B.tech and the third semester in M.tech. Companies visited and offers made: NITR attracts a wide range of companies for placements, some of them are well known like Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Qualcomm, Deloitte, Infosys, TCS, etc. For circuital branches, placements stats are very good, around 22 lakhs average for CSE, 18 lakhs for ECE, and 16 lakhs for EE. The highest package offered was 89 lakhs off-campus and the on-campus highest package was 53 lakhs. 12 students got more than 50 lpa from on-campus placements and 200 students got more than 20 lpa. The percentage of placements for the electrical and electronics branch is 99%.

- The facilities available are good. Teaching methods are fine.
- Placement system is most acceptable. High chances of placement offers.
Dislikes
- Only bicycle are allowed not any other motors are allowed to academic area.
- Parents are not allowed to hostels. Accomodation for parents are not good.
Placement Experience:
Every year a lot of public sector units and private companies visit our Campus and students got placed from final year . In ECE branch the placement percentile is 99% . Highest package was 52lakhs last year. The avarage package is 12lakh.

- Campus Life in NIT ROURKELA is the best.
- Faculties and infrastructure here are good.
Dislikes
- Placements for non-circuital branches are not that good. Around 10-12 lpa
- Curriculum in nit Rourkela is very strict. It's hard here to score good CGPA.

The placements here are good. For circuital branches, placements stats are very good around 22 lakhs for CSE. 18 Lakhs for ECE and 16 lakhs for EE. - There are only two hostel for girls which are kms and cvr hall of residence
- Attendance policy 85 criteria in nit Rourkela which are worst
Placement Experience:
Campus placements are awesome There are too many companies that give pre-placement offers of 48 lakh like Google and Microsoft Goldman Sachs and many more. The total number of companies visited are like 1240 this year give the highest CTC of 58 lakh total 90 percent of students get placed and many more opt for higher studies depending on their interest

- The college campus is one of the biggest and extremely beautiful.There are various cafes and restaurants for refreshment.
- The club culture here is great and one can choose from various clubs to join.
Dislikes
- The weather and climatic conditions of Rourkela are a bit extreme.
- 80% attendance rule is a menance and remaining absent leads to gradebacks in grades.
Placement Experience:
From 8th semester, students are eligible for campus placements. Placement numbers are great where departments record 90% placements in various companies. NIT Rourkela highest package stood at INR 1.2 crore PA whereas NIT Rourkela's average package stood at INR 20.88 LPA. A total of 350 recruiters including 100 new recruiters participated in the placement drive. Some of the top recruiters included Apple, Google, VISA, etc. I have thought of appearing at GATE and trying to pursue M.Tech in IITs.

What is your review of National Institute of Technology, Rourkela (NIT-RKL)?
A friend at NIT Rourkela gave me a detailed review of her college the last time she visited me. Here are some highlights from her descriptive experience
- NIT Rourkela has a huge, serene, and well-secured campus.
- The institute has diverse clubs that promote extracurricular activities and their performance is better than most clubs of other engineering colleges.
- Decent Internet speed is offered and the Dc++ is well maintained.
- The hostels are well-maintained and decked with all the basic amenities one could ask for.
- Students are actively involved in sports such as gymming and swimming.
- The faculties are a mixed bag. Some are underqualified and lethargic while some motivate you to become a better person.
- The institute boasts of an extensive entrepreneurship culture.
- The institute needs to work on increasing its alumni base and the level of fests it organizes given the huge income the institute generates.
- The placement scenario varies from branch to branch. It's decent for branches like CS while pathetic for others.
- Rourkela does not have any places to explore and also lacks flight connectivity.
- The city of Rourkela is one of the cleanest places so hygiene is not an issue here.
