The placement is the best thing about this college .many good companies come and make good offer
Many teachers are exceptionally good in their field.the faculity to student ratio is 1:77 approx, all faculty have done their mtech and phd from reputed university like iitkgp,nit rourkela,iit bombay etc.
Hostel are very huge and best thing about the college is its hostel

Dislikes

Recently placement is not very good in our campus especially for my department (etc).average package is only 9 lpa plus no good or reputated companies are coming here for recruitment.campus also doesnt help in obtaing any internships
I think some faculties lack quality. for the amount of institution fee it feels like a risk.
The no of reputed companies coming here for job offers and internships is declining with a very fast rate.

Iiit bhubaneshwar through my eyes

Likes

Teachers and staffs are very helpful to students.
Cleanliness of campus and hostel is very good.
Management constant6try to improve the coding culture and placement.

Dislikes

Triple seater rooms are there so less privacy.
Campus is very far from the city centre and there is less connectivity.
Some phd students doing teaching here are not good.

Placement Experience:

Students from 5th semester are eligible for internship and from 7th semester they are eligible for placement. Oracle, dell, tcs and deloitte come for campus placement. Almost 90 percent of student get placement. Highest package was 39 lpa in 2023.

Glimpse of iiit

Likes

Extra curricular activity are very good ensure overall development
Classroom are good enough and provide godd environment of study
Less student are there so u get good opportunity for placement

Dislikes

75 percent attendence criteria is very hectic
The college is located in remote village area so u have roaming problem
Mess food is vey average and shops are very expensive

Placement Experience:

From 7 semester on ward student are eligible for campus placement. Many companies visit our college like tcs microsoft hcl tata Facebook cognizant. Nearly 90 percent student get placed from this college

The coding culture is given very much focus .
Cleanliness of college campus and hostel room is a thumbs up.
Teachers are very helpful and supportive to the students.

Dislikes

Campus area is 23 acres and very less to explore
Placement is degrading and less companies are visiting.
College is far from main city so no big store are available nearby.

Placement Experience:

Students get placement from the 7th semester and internship from the 5th semester. The highest package was 39 lpa last year and the average was 13 lpa. Most of the students are acquired by companies as front-end or backend developers. Almost 90 percent of students are placed.

Cleanliness in campus is maintained in college.
Seniors are very supportive also there is no Ragging there.

Dislikes

Coding culture is very bad and decreasing every year.
Campus area is very less only 23 of acres .
Location of college os very bad even sometimes it is difficult to get cab.

Placement Experience:

Placement of iiit bhubaneshwar is bad also it is decreasing every year. Average package is 12 LPA for CSE, CE aand IT branches. Highest ON campus package is 39 LPA. Also the internship opportunities is very less in this college.

Likes

The hostel rooms provided are worth the amount
The greenery around campus is very good.
The fest here is the largest fest of Odisha

Dislikes

The college campus area is very small as compared to others
The hostel infrastructure could have been better
The restriction on the college in time and hostel in time.

Many companies come for placement related in the college. Students mainly sit in the placement in 7th semester. The companies which visit the college are like Amazon, Oracle, Media.net, Dell , Deloitte, Tiger Analytics etc.

Likes

Placement is good extracurricular activities
Hostel is pretty compared price and is well maintained
High number of societies and their festival

Dislikes

Mess food is pretty bad and quality is awful
Campus is very small and main city is far away from main campus
Indoor courts are not available and also farway

Students become eligible from 7 th semester. Companies like Deloitte , Infosys, dell, oracle , tiger analytics, informatica, etc. highest package received this year is 26 lpa by zscalar average stands at 10 lpa. 80 percent student got placed this year. To try and go for higher studies

IIIT in a glance!

Likes

Hostel facilities are good. Cleaning is maintained every day.
Seniors are quite helpful in every societies and clubs.
Events and Fests are organised on a regular basis every week.

Dislikes

Very less campus size so not so much to explore.
College is located at a distant location from main city.
Gender ratio is not good. Girls are very less according to boys.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placement from 7th semester onwards. And they can apply for internship from 5th semester onwards. The highest on campus placement was from CE branch that was 30 lakhs per annum. And highest off campus placement was 87 Lpa. The number of companies visited was 30 this year. Some of the biggest companies are TigerAnalytics, Turtlemint, zscalar, Dell, Deloitte, etc. On campus placement ratio is 70%.

Excellent college to opt for

Likes

The hostel is good.cleanliness is taken care of by the college.
Many shops and eatables , restaurant are placed inside our campus which is near to us.
The placements of our college is good and constantly improving.

Dislikes

Sports facilities can be improved.Gym is available but has limited equipments.
Classrooms are not air conditioned.In summer it becomes very difficult for the students as bhubaneswar has a very humid climate.
A large piece of land infront of girls hostel can be improved to a park or any sports complex

Placement Experience:

Placements are good with a avg package of about 11-12lpa. 40companies have visited our campus which includes media.net, oracle, Amazon, zscaler, informatica, Tiger analytics, Dell etc.Highest on campus offer was 39lpa by media.net and the highest off campus package was about 86lpa.About 94% of registered students got placed.I would like to get placed in a good company after my graduation.

Likes

Placements of CE branch is good as compared to the other colleges in odisha
Fests and cultural events makes our engineering journey very interesting.
Coding culture is very good . There are regular technical workshops conducted.

Dislikes

Quality of the faculties should be improved.

Campus placements are good but for the recession placements are declined to be very honest. But there are opportunities for placements. Placements for etc and eee are low as compared to the other branches . I wouldn't recommend you for the etc and eee branch for this college, but other tech branches are good.

Likes

The campus and classroom is good cleaned
Infrastructure is not good or bad it's okay okay
Many events take place in college, placement is decent

Dislikes

Campus size of college is small, classroom are not air conditioner
Many small event take place is not well organised
Only few professor's are good in teaching

Placement Experience:

I would say the placement of college is not bed but not good also. The average package of cse branch is 12 lac per year, ce branch is 11 lac per year, it branch is 11 lac per year, ETC branch 9 lac per year, eee branch 8 lac per year. But the percentage of student placed in ETC and EEE branch is not good it is less than 60% , this is because many student go for higher study that's why the percentage of placement is low. My plan after getting degree is doing job.
