Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this course because Odisha is my home state and this was the best option i had in technology field. The Faculty student ratio is good though some of them are contractual faculties. The experienced faculties are quite good at teaching and are qualified from IITs and NITs. The semester exams occur in nearly 4 months for the 1st semester. In some subjects it is difficult to score good marks but all subjects are passable if you pay little bit of attention in class and do PYQs.
Internships Opportunities
Many Internship opportunities are provided on campus but most of the students try and opt for off campus internships and ppos. Computer Science faculty is very good and helpful. Project and Research facilities are also available.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for campus placement from 7th semester onwards. And they can apply for internship from 5th semester onwards. The highest on campus placement was from CE branch that was 30 lakhs per annum. And highest off campus placement was 87 Lpa. The number of companies visited was 30 this year. Some of the biggest companies are TigerAnalytics, Turtlemint, zscalar, Dell, Deloitte, etc. On campus placement ratio is 70%.
Fees and Financial Aid
The course fee is around 250000 for a year if you come from general background. State and National Scholarship are available for students and college approves it if you have the right documents. But overall expenditure for College is around 12 Lakhs.
Campus Life
The annual fest Advaita and tech fest D³ is conducted in college every year. Advaita is occured during February and D³ in October. Our college also organises General Championship for Sports that intra college. And also Krida that is inter college sports festival. Advaita is one of biggest techno cult fest in odisha. The classroom are not air conditioned expect some. Books are provided from the library itself. The fiction collection is less but there are some good books to read. Sports and Gym facilities are available but can be improved. There are over 10+ societies in college and seniors are very helpful in these societies and clubs.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are decent three persons in a single room. Also single rooms are available but for limited students. Bathrooms are quite clean and cleaned on daily basis. The Mess Food has improved over the past months. And it's edible on most of the days expect some days. I currently live in hostel.
Admission
The admission process was very smooth. The dates of admission were divided branch wise for easier accomodation in hostels. The details were provided in the college website. All the details regarding fee structure and application form can be understood from the website itself. The admission process takes place from Josaa counseling and odisha state councelling. Reservation facilities are also available. I think the admission process is very good and don't need any improvement.
