Remarks

As it is a new college, you have to face some problems. Authority and management is also inexperienced. Mess food is one thing you won't like for sure. Food quality must be improved. Some teachers are not that helpful and are egoist.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

Curriculum is up to date. Earlier it followed curriculum framed by GU. Since it became deemed to be university, it is framing own curriculum. Exams are rigorous. As this college is deemed to be university, it conducts it's own exam.

Placement Experience

1.5

Placements and job opportunities are very limited currently. But, it's getting better every year. Although the placement team is not well structured and effective, our students are able to get into companies like wipro, Tcs, Reliance and psu's.

College Events

3

There were plenty of occasions we celebrated in college days. We celebrated holi. We used celebrate in a grand manner. Then comes bihu, which is a major festival for people of this region. Pre Christmas celebration used to be a major attractions for us. Besides all this religious and regional festivals we also celebrate bodo literacy day, International Language day etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is pretty much high now days. At our times, it used to be around 20,000 per semester. Now it is increased to 36000 per semester. If we compare the placement and job opportunities it provides, then i think it is very expensive.

Fees and Financial Aid

If you are from NE region then you are going to get Ishan uday scholarship by Govt. Of India, which is very lucrative. It gives you around 8000 per month. This scholarship is purely merit based. If you don't get it, then you can apply for sc/st/obc scholarship provided by every State government.

Campus Life

4

Extracurricular activities are not that maintained, but excellent opportunities are provided by the authority. There are different clubs and committees which you can join. Labs are well equipped but lack maintenance. Sports opportunities and facilities are there.

Alumni/Alumna

As it is still in a new phase. Alumni base is not that big. Although there is an alumni association which growing steadily. Seniors are very helpful. If they can help, they will help you. In case of internship or job, if you seek their help, they will help you.

Admission

I got admission through the college entrance exam which is called CITDEE. Anyone with a valid 10+2 score of 50% and above can apply. Besides CITDEE merit rank, Jee mains rank is also accepted for admission.

Faculty

2

Faculties are highly qualified. Most of them are from prestigious institutions like IIT's. Most of them have completed their phd and published various research papers. Almost all HOD's have experience of teaching in prominent National and International institutes.

The college placement aren't much in our college because our college is too deep inside the area it's like a village area companies find it difficult to come here. Companies mostly come for chemical and mechanical engineering students to hire them. For electrical and civil you have to apply off campus. I don't know the highest package from our college but the recent package that was offered by mahindra to mechanical engineering students was 19000 per month. Atleast 35% students get on campus placement. My plan after degree is to pursue mtech or maybe BFA in Seoul, South Korea or maybe find a job outside india

The placement of this university is not upto the mark. The highest package recieved by a student was 37 LPA. He was an ECE student. The average LPA is around 6-7 LPA. I think it's a bit low compared to NITs/IITs. But compared to other central and state universities its quite good.

The curriculum is btech and since it is an IIT the faculty are the best in their fields profs here have done PhD from Stanfords of the world and the prof-student ratio is very healthy. Although there are a lot of exams in the ballpark weekly one or the other exam will be there and the exams are very tough but grading is relative.
