Campus Life if so good ...It is too environmental freely
Professors are so good and helpful......

Dislikes

Mess food is so bad ...You can't eat without chips , pickel etc ...
Management is so bad as fest are getting low and low day by day

Course Curriculum Overview

We all have to study by ourselves only , it doesn't matter where we are studying .....But still we are provided a well experienced group of teacher for our course ....Exams are scheduled twice in a semester....Class test are conducted within a month

Class Size: 78Course Fees: INR 100000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

For BTECH cse the admission fees is Rs.3,27,500 for whole course including tution fees , bus fees , medical , academic , hostel , mess ...Here you can keep Rs.400000 as a backup as all will not not used

Campus Life

The infrastructure is on a scale of average...Our college organise two fests one is technical and the other one is cultural....Both are celebrated in a huge peek but this year's it has been celebrated worst ever ....Many clubs will be provided here but not much clubs are active

Hostel Facilities

The hostel infrastructure is not that much bad ...But cleanliness is not maintained here and the mess food is very bad ....It is hygienic but the taste is so poor ....for hostel and mess we have to pay Rs.14000 per semester

Hostel Fee: INR 16000 per year

Admission

Actually I have given JEE exam for getting admission in NIT or IIT or IIIT...But my score was not so good , so I have given direct entrance examination of CIT and got admision here through it . We can easily get admission here

Faculty

Faculties are so good as all branches have their own and different parts ... Every branch has its own department .... Although CSE is the most strengthen branch ...The strength of it is highest .... In total we have a total faculty of 25 professors , Doctors , Lab assistant etc

Placement Experience:

Placements is very good here. Many companies visit here . Previous year Chemical Science and Technology branch had an average package of approx 18 lpa. Highest package for college was 2.05 crore per annum , it was Computer Science engineering branch.

Course Curriculum Overview:

For a programme, most of the fundamental course help us build our foundations for applications in real life. It builds us, the knowledge we are required to have for solving issues related to this field. There are some department electives which we can choose as well as open electives which we can choose during the course of our programme, for us. That will be a total of 8 semesters. For doing best during the programme, I suggest, a student to do their best during the first 3 exams, since those exams are scoring but scoring in endsem becomes comparatively difficult due to extreme rigorous checking.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very relevant and is different for different branches according to their needs. I was interested in civil engineering and chose the course and find the curriculum intersting and relevant for me . The curriculum offers subject which are important for real world applications, like in civil engineering it's offers subjects like building construction, solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, material testing, serving, etc. The course curriculum is very good but the teaching methods needs improvement like more digitalization . The exams frequency and timings are neither too late nor too early, they are perfectly planned and executed.

Digboi college and my experience through it .

Course Curriculum Overview:

There exists a good teaching staff that's why the course is very easy to understand also teachers give us good examples also do practicals so that's students understand the course easily . I see that there exist a low no of equipments in practical lab compare to it's students ratio so if they have a good no of equipments then all students get equipment to do experiment without any waste of time . Time is good as compare to marks and the first 30 marks are beginner level the other 40 marks are intermediate level and the remaining 30 Marks are advanced level questions in a question paper for the students they published.

I didn't apply for any other colleges .As my sister home was near and this institution is under central government guidance,I just prefer this college only . The admission process is very simple here , a student can join the institute through jee mains,citkee or all india engineering exams . For jee mains ,the cit off for general was 82 and for citkee the cutoff for general was 150 rank. The most preferred one is citkee and the jee mains ....Read More

Other colleges I applied were NEHU and Tezpur University.I got IT branch in NEHU and Mechanical in Tezpur and CSE in CIT kokrajhar.I preferred CIT because the CSE branch is what I wanted from the beginning.Even though it's infra level is less than Tezpur University,but I didn't wanted to waste time in other branch rather than CSE .CIT compared to NEHU had better chances for CSE students....Read More
