College Review

The positive remark about college is that it is situated in Kashmir, which is itself famous tourist destination and also the college is situated near famous tourist places like Dal, mughal gardens etc. The students enjoy the beauty of inside and outside college. Also people who study in this college do not want to go back.

You have 7 engineering streams computer science, IT, civil, mechanical, electronic and communication, chemical engineering, metallurgy. Ist year is common for all then rest 3 years u have ur own syllabus. The exam structure is u have minor two minors and a major in each semester. Minors are taken each month.

Job and placement is good for computer science, IT and electronic engineering branches only. Rest branches have very few placement percentage. Sometimes college is hit by very low placement percentage due to politically instability in the state.

The fee structure is very good, cheap and affordable. At our time we had just 22000 Rs fee per semester and 12000 fee as mess fee per semester. We also used to get MoMA scholarship of 50000 Rs. Also if someone is not able to pay fee, college authorities and students used to help them.

The college doesn't provide any loan, but can give some more time to deposit the fee. The scholarship I used to avail was minority scholarship worth 50000 every year. If you are sc/st u will get scholarship of around 100000 Rs every year.

College has very huge ground for extracurricular activities. It has ground for volley ball, food ball, cricket, badminton, basketball, table tennis, lawn tennis. Gym etc. The college is situated on the bank of famous Dal lake and is situated in one of posh area of city.

Hostel is very good. For ist 3 years 4 members stay in one big room. Hostel is provided with WiFi facilities. For last year each student has one room allocated and provided with LAN. The mess is also good.

Alumni is very helpful when it comes to placements and internships. College facilitate alumni meet every year to bridge the gap between students and alumni and help students to take advantage of alumni network.

You have to qualify JEE mains to get admission in this college. Ur all India rank should be good enough to get u seat in this college. Jee mains is the only entrance exam which can give you seat here.

Facility is very qualified in this college and is very helpful. Unlike other colleges faculty is very supportive and encouraging. Some of faculty members are students persuing pg courses and very few are bossy in nature.
