- I love the peaceful environment of our college, there are lot of gardens thus very much greenery in the campus which I personally like a lot.
- Its a great college for science students, the labs are very good.
- The boys and girls ratio is like 4:3, overall a quiet and friendly atmosphere is present.
Dislikes
- Sometimes during the rain, water clogging around the area where college is situated is seen, otherwise I like the full campus a lot, its great !
Course Curriculum Overview
I am pursuing Bsc. Botany because I love plant biology and Biotechnology field a lot. In future my course can open the doors of environmental science,sustainability,climate change, biotech and other related aspects. Further on I can pursue masters or phd or can enter ecology related services or can do government forest / environment services as well.
Internships Opportunities
So we have Training and placement cell in our college which provides internship opportunities on a monthly basis, we have college startups as well which also offer internship benefits. Summer Science internship called Elite is also provided by our college every year in which students work under a teacher on a project or a idea.
Placement Experience
The average placements is around 5 to 6 lpa. However, a lot students here prefer masters and so a very few take placements, we have a entreprenuerial lab here which allows students to start their own startups and a lot of companies do visit in campus and hire students also. However, my plans would be pursuing for post grad entrance exams if I did'nt get placement.
Fees and Financial Aid
The course fees for Bsc.Botany Hons is around Rs. 22k annually and the average fees for other courses lies in the range of 18k to 30k only. Merit based scholarships are also granted to financially weak students. Several opportunities are present for earning scholarships so that everyone can afford studying.
Campus Life
We have a lot socities present in our college, so in that area, students have a lot of opportunities to learn in demand experiences. For learning social volunteering there is NSS unit, for learning social entreprenuership we have Enactus Andc and for cultural involvements like for dance there is Maayra, for drama - Dhwani, for music - Dhun ,etc are present.
Admission
I chose this college over others because I like the fact of this science college's Nirf ranking and also I live nearby to this college, so daily transportation is very much easy for me so I chose this over others.
Faculty
Our faculty members are very friendly and supportive.We have around 6 Professors, 3 assistant professors and 4 lab assistants with us in our bsc botany course. They help us in solving our doubts and career guidance.They are very supportive and always try to motivate us for a better future. I personally like Dr. Vineet Singh sir, he teaches us Plant Systematics in the semester 2, he is awesome in explaining stuff and a very cool teacher by personality.
Night Life
Around the college, we have premeium areas like Kalkaji, Alakanda,Gk2 which offers cafes,resturants and parks for overall great experience.The timings of college is from 9 to 5 generally. We have several gyms and food corners around campus as well.
