Remarks

Our college is very new but i think of the weakness is some of the faculties who don't have experience in teaching. Other than this most of the things in the university is pretty good. The environment is very good and you will make some good friends here.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Our course curriculum and exam Structure is exactly same as of St Xavier's college Calcutta. Course curriculum is quite well balanced and follows CBCS system as per the guidelines of UGC. We have semester based exam system. The odd semesters happen in mid November and even one's happen in May. 80% of the weightage of each paper is on the end sem exam. And the rest 20% is over continuous internal assessment of which 5% is for attendance.

Placement Experience

4

Our college is a very new institution. It was inagurated in 2017. So only the first batch of post graduate have graduated from this college till now. Some of the mcom students have got packages around 3-4 lpa in mmc like delloit. Our university began mba course in 2018 and they also have get good summer internship offers but i am not aware about their stipend and experience. The brand "Xavier" have attracted many recruiters and students.

College Events

4.5

Our college from this year have started annual fest which is being called Xavrang. Other than that exinove a business fest was also conducted last year by the Xavier's Commerce and Management society a student wing of our University. Also we had a great 1st convocation ceremony were Sashi Thraror was present. We had annual sports this time. And we are going to have Xav ultra talks from 2nd Aug were many famous personalities will speak.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Our fee structure is on the expensive side. Per semester tuttion fee is 48,000 and at the time of admission another 30,000 is charged as admission fees. But all our class rooms are fully air-conditioned and equipped with computer and projecters. So the high fees is reasonable if taken into consideration the facilities.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college offer scholarship to students whose parents income is less than 25000 per month. The scholarship is of two type 1. Full fee waiver 2. 50% fee waiver There to conditions for getting scholarship other than income cap 1. Have pass in all subjects in the previous semester 2. More than 75% attendance in previous semester.

Campus Life

4.5

Our college has plenty of co circular activities all round the year. Our university have societies consisting of students who monitor this co circular activities in different field. For example we have Xavier's Commerce and Management society which monitor commerce and entrepreneurial activities. Similarly we have Xavier's In Action society who undertake many social work similarly we have societies for literature, drama , debate , sports , cultural activities. A student can be part of maximum 2 societies at a single time.

Alumni/Alumna

Since our college is only two years old only the first batch of post-graduate have passed this year so there is nothing to talk about our alumni network. Senior students are in general helpful and and our college is very strict against any sort of ragging. So there is no sort of fear of ragging here.

Admission

I filled the application form through college website. Application fee was Rs 1000. After that on a Sunday we had our entrance exam and couple of days after the exam first merit list was out all the information of what the procedure to follow and in which date to come for admission was provided there. I was selected in the 2nd list

Faculty

3

Our university is a very new Jesuit academic institution which is following the footsteps of one the oldest and most reputed Jesuit institution in Kolkata probably in India ie. St Xavier's college Calcutta. Most of the faculty members are highly qualified and our VICE Chancellor was the former principle of St Xavier's college Calcutta. But the important point is that the faculty of the st Xavier's college is different from ours some of the proffesors come from the college to take some class but most of our proffesors have no association with the college. Some of the proffesors have a bit less experience in teaching and the university is currently facing a shortage of faculty.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is of course outdated. Teaching methods are old. No case studies, competitions or project of any sort is there in the curriculum. Although a project of 100 marks is there in the final sem, but I don't think that's enough. There is no practicality in the curriculum and usability in career. The syllabus really needs an uplifment.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is average , I chose this course because I wanted to do an honours degree and I'm from commerce background so my first pick was B.Com . They really put efforts to prepare students for well future , as I said earlier some teachers are genuinely very good helpful supporting and good at what they do . Something they need to approve is the 70% attendance criteria, I think they need to understand not every student is just persuing graduation they are doing some other courses or jobs etc so they can't maintain 70% attendance . The frequency of timing is average

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum is Comprehensive, focused equally on Academics and Practical Exposure.. I chose because of that extra year of research I can choose to do in my final year (4th year) of graduation and I'll have an Hons. Degree at the end of 4th year of my college... Practical insights makes sure we are being trained to tackle practical world and academic knowledge ensures we are eligible to apply for further Education.. I will say more focus on Practical Exposure and a little extra focus on Sports May Take This Curriculum to a different level..

Course Curriculum Overview:

• The specific aspects of the curriculum are the subjects including in this course are related to the industry that will help students to build their career in this competitive world and I choose the course as I wanted to pursue a professional course after graduation. • The curriculum prepares us pretty well for real world applications as there are subjects like management that helps students to understand things very clearly and apply it in the real world. • The frequency and timing of exams is perfect and my perspective on the difficulty level is that the exams are not at all difficult.
