Dislikes
- Strict attendance to be maintained at 67% as students are also engaged in society work various off campus activities like internships projects and thus are unable to meet the set criteria
- Sometimes there are really short deadlines for assignments which make difficult for students to cope up and submit
- Some courses have their classes even on saturdays and classes ending late at 5 in the evening due to sec and vac which is really late
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is really relevant and comprehensive. For eg in bcom we study business law, company law, Human Resources management, marketing, financial and corporate accounting, finance, busines maths, stats, income tax, cost accounting, economics as ge so all these are really great well structureda and do have real life practical applications therefore i think my course is really very well aligned and comprehensive in terms of the business world.
Internships Opportunities
The internship opportunities available are really really great. Recently my seniors got around 1700000 per annum job . Getting placed in such a good company with such good package just after three years of graduation is really something everyone craves for and there is hansraj that provides it. It is one of the top tier colleges of Delhi university in terms of placement opportunities. Big companies like Ey, deshaw, bain, pwc and many more provides pre placement offers, and various opportunities to hansraj students. Its a blessing to be in this college.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee for my course is 28345. It is very much affordable and is less than many other colleges due to which people prefer this college over others. Moreover it provides scholarship opportunity for example dell aspire scholars which further provides incentive to students to take admission in the college. Concluding overall all courses have fee about 30000 around which is really affordable on the part of parents and therefore attractive
Campus Life
The campus life is really fun. There are always some things going on in the campus. In societies we always have new events coming up, then we have hansraj fest, ethnic day, sports competitions and various other inter competitions and hence it is really great being indulged in so many such social events. Society events like e summit, bequest are also really fun. Not only the fun element but also we get to learn so many new things also get network with people.
Admission
Hansraj college was second on my preference list because on the basis of my research and mg present experience too it provdies really great high package internship as well as placement opportunities. Teaching and non teaching staff is really good. The admission process was simple giving cuet ug which included the subjects we studied in our eleventh and twelfth hence it wasn't complicated. I really admire my college it provides great exposure and experience.
Faculty
The faculty members are indeed really good. They help us learn and understand the curriculum well, always there to support and guide us. Bcom course structure is very well defined. We have marks divided as components of ia and ca which are based on class tests, attendance, assignments, practical exams for some subjects and then finally the written exam. In short every thing is really very smooth and thus it goes in a well structured manner.
Night Life
The nightlife near hansraj college that is kamla nagar is awesome because the kamla market is really famous area of north campus always filled with people and lighting and shining all the time. Whenever you go out the street is never ever empty. It is so much fun being out their with your college hostel or pg friends. You enjoy regular days, birthdays and everything. It is all really worth it. Near campus we also have concerts, dandiya nights which are social events really you engage in and enjoy.
