Course Curriculum Overview
Area of improvement would be to I think over 20 lectures a week. I feel they should be 15 lectures a week and sadly too many but course itself is so tough that managing them would me tough. So studies here are amazing and supporting guest lectures, industrial projects and all makes our academics even more worth it.
Placement Experience
Mostly the final ies that recruit students of cyber security systems are Quickheal, BluSapphire, K7 Computing, TCS, Wipro and others. As they build antivirus systems which are of use in protecting against cyber security. That is must for all organizations today and thus our jobs will only increase with time.
Fees and Financial Aid
MIT Manipal one of the best engineering college I India and one of those which offers cyber security systems. Our fees is little subjective as Manipal University is expensive as our course fees is around 4 lakhs a year. Also, since hostel is where I live the fees for the same is 1.8 lakhs a year.
Campus Life
The Manipal Campus is around 300 acres and 60% of is for MIT as we have the highest number of students. In our area of the campus there are two playgrounds, 6 hostels, 4 buildings and a guest house. We also have nearly a sports stadium as there are around 20 sports in that. Star performances happens in our annual fest Revels.
Hostel Facilities
Both the girls hostels have one thing in common that we have attached washrooms and proper sanitization. As soon as we leave for classes our rooms cleaning and laundary service starts. So, we get clean and sanitized rooms as soon as we are back. Mess too is so clean that it almost feels like our food is prepared at home kitchen.
Admission
For Manipal University there's Manipal Entrance Test called MET and students have to clear that. Or else the students can pay 50% extra and grab a management seat as well. I got the admission through MET and nearly 70% are through that test in my batch.
Faculty
Faculties are gospels of teaching as even if I call them Guru, I know I won't be exaggerating. They are masters as cyber security systems are built by geniuses and they were genius. I love them and most students do so because our lecturers teach only the meaningful things in the class. Beyond that yes we can ask them any meaningless things and they too will laugh with us.
Night Life
We are not too far from places like Mangalore, Bangalore, Goa and Coorg. So those are the places I ideally explored in my 2 and a half year. I love going out to these places time and again as the hangout during college life lasts forever.
