Course Curriculum Overview

3

Well for me it was my prior interest in the field of zoology during my neet prep times , that made me to choose this course. Along with that the hansraj colege has good reputation in its zoology department as well . But the college still follow traditional way of teaching thatbinvolve teaching straight out from ppt , directly reading the sentences for some. Though mosts sof t he soecimens are available in the college but the only bad thing is that the ration of student to microscope is very high . Like most of the microscope don't even work. It becomes pretty hectic for us to study gor core sub along with electives .taking heavy subject from the pool of ge , sec , vac , is a kind of wastage because most if the teachers don't even take classes properly .

Fees and Financial Aid

I am pursuing bsc in zoology hons . My course fee is approx 30000 per yr from hansraj college . I had to pay the annual fee and registration fee for exam per sem. Fees does not vary with the category .ita is same for all . There are many scholarship available to provide financial aid to the students like dell scholarship, iatc, hansraj vice chancellor scholarship(merit cum) etc . The fee for bsc courses is pretty higher in hansraj college in compare to other , but it is also because of the fact the science Department of the hansraj has the best labs equippedwith required instruments and apparatus. The fees is continuously rising with each year.

Campus Life

3

Hansraj colleeb has its own annual fest named Confluence. Also the societies do conduct their own events from time to time like NSS Diwali Mela. Halloween clebration, dandiya night (which occur during afternoon) , and a lot more etc . Library is really vast . You can find a lot of books of your ineeterst and you can issue for 7 days. Library is quite good . I love the atmosphere , the security is quite good so you donst have tk worry wbout your electronics devices.

Admission

Again i choose this because of its well equipped labs in comparison to others . Because at the end , academic is all that matters . Alongwith that the exposure one gets in the hansraj college through its different societies , yhere are societies for every students with any kind of interest . That allows them to follow their passion , learning tume management chance to try something new along with academics. Admission process has become simple as you just participate in the counselling process and getst alloted the seat based on cuet score .makonb the preference list of college with the interested courses Is quite hard . Most of teh students make mistakes while making the preference lsit and ends up with getting off campus colleges of du even having pretty good score. I got ramjas in my first and hansraj college in my second round and the i confirmed the seat . I wanted to go for hindu and miranda but my score was not that good.

Faculty

I dont think so there is shortage of faculty. Faculty sstssudent relationship depends on you . Most of them are unapproachable if you dont do well in class . The most important thing js to attend eavh and every class because that takes you in a good books of the faculty. From zoo faculty , dr beena bhandari is pretty cool teacher , she is very nice , her practical classes are worth it. I have never seen her showing biasness. English department has lots of pretty cool teacher As well. So if you want to take english sub from the pool of ge, sec , vac . You can go for it. For my course there are total of three core subject along with four additional subjects out which three are optional (sec, vac , ge) . You get to decide what subject do you want to study in these categories . And other one is AEC /EVS that alternate in sems. So you have to give 7 papers overall. Du never fail any students in externals . You just need to score in your internals . If you are scoring good in internals that plays a pivotal in your overall result.

Night Life

3

The favourite hangousts sspots of my. Friend group is the college canteen , after hepaving a long day of non stop lab of 4 hrs we usually go to. Canteen , and have the samosa and chai . It has become go to snacks of us . Other places involve mitt cafe , nescafe . If you go outside of the college from the hostel gtae . You will find a biryani wala place that has the besg biryani , a stall of chole bhature at the front of hostel gate . And not to foeget the game zone where we spends time chilling playing pool, and other games. There are a lot of eateries jn kamla nagar market . You will find a new place every other day . There is everything liek Mcdonald, burger king , miniso , lenskart , pizza hut , tacos bell , bistro . Like its a place made for the students. Every brand stores can be gound here .

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of Hansraj College is quite active. You are eligible to sit for campus placement offers from 5th semester onwards. Companies like Deloitte, capgemini arw frequent recruiters for several posts and positions. The highest offered package is somewhere around 22000 with the average being at 700000-800000. Not all students get placed on campus, however thr hands on training and learning makes you industry ready, making you eligible amd worthy to apply for off campus placement opportunities. Many students prefer not to sit for campus placements and rather opt for higher studies after graduation. I plan to do the same after getting my undergraduate degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think the BSc Statistics (H) offered by Sri Venkateshwara College has been quite relevant and comprehensive in content. The core courses such as probability, inference, regression, and econometrics were the major reasons for opting for the subject of statistics. It provides us in-depth analytical training that is necessary for higher education and work in the field of data, though there is a need for exposure to software/tools as well. The semester-wise examination, which is moderately tough

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is just like any other college, and you need to do a lot of the skill enhancement by yourself. Here, you will learn something, but not everything that is relevant. The professors will teach according to the syllabus, be it really relevant in real life or not. Everything that you will be learning will be relevant for career in this field, but not enough. You require to put some extra efforts to gain more knowledge and practice.

Students typically become eligible from 3rd year/6th semester onwards for most companies. Some internships and tech roles may be available to 2nd-year students depending on the company criteria. Placement Percentage: Usually, 70–85% of eligible students get placed, depending on the stream. Highest placement rates are often in Computer Science, Economics, and Commerce streams. My plan is to become a software engineer.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Cource curriculum is highly relevant. It covers fundamental and advanced concepts of zoology , which was the main reason I choose this course. Subjects like human physiology, biochemistry, biomolecules, comparative anatomy of vertebrates, animal behaviour, ...etc. are highly interested and align with my interest. Practical components help in developing and understanding concepts more clearly. However, real world applications is limited. Curriculum prepare students well for further academics for PG or other competitive exams. Exam system is conducted at regular intervals with Internal assessment and semester end. Timings are appropriate . Difficulty level is moderate to high.

Hindu College, Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] {Hons.} (Mathematics)
Reviewed on Jan 6, 2026(Enrolled 2025)

Course Curriculum Overview:

For B.Sc (Hons) Mathematics at Hindu College, the curriculum follows the latest DU UGCF?2022 structure, so it covers both strong theory and some modern applications. The main reason to choose this course is the depth in core areas like Calculus, Algebra, Real Analysis, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations and Probability, which builds a very solid base for higher studies like M.Sc, data science or research. There are six semesters with continuous internal assessment plus end?semester exams, so students study regularly instead of only before finals. Exams are usually moderate to difficult because questions are concept?based, but the pattern is fair and gives weightage to assignments, tutorials and attendance. Overall, the course is quite comprehensive and relevant for careers in teaching, analytics, government exams and higher academics, though adding more practical projects, programming and real?life modelling could make it even more industry?oriented
