Likes

Diversity of college is really good. I get to meet people belonging from different states and having different mindset.
Faculty is also very good. They are keen about teaching students and keep the lectures really engaging
The fest is the best thing about daulat ram. The competitions are really fun and competetive.

Dislikes

The wifi network is really slow. Even mobile data does not work inside the college campus

Course Curriculum Overview

Ba hons economics is one the the best courses available at Daulat ram college. The faculty is really good. The opportunities in this course, The career scope, etc is nice making it an appropriate course.

Class Size: 68Course Fees: INR 32500 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

I paid 32500 rupees for the first semester. BA (Hons.) economics cost around INR 95000 - 1 lac rupees. Apart from this there was no registration fees as such but I had to pay an examination fee 1400/- rupees per semester.

Campus Life

The Campus is well maintained and Beautiful.Most of the class rooms are air conditioned and equipped with smart TVs. The washrooms are clean and the medical facilities are also good. The canteen food is also nice. The environment is very safe so our parents need not worry about that.

Admission

I did get confirmation from south campus colleges. I went there for about a week., after which my admission got upgraded in this college. I prefered this college because firstly it is in north campus, secondly, The faculty is really good, Thirdly, being a girls college, My parents dont have to worry about safety issues. I was admitted on The basis of CUET score.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is quite impressive. It is 40:1. The teachers keep the lectures really interactive, practical and engaging. We also have tutorials in which teachers focus on a batch of 20 students and solve all their queries and doubts.

Night Life

The night life of our college is really happening and fun. We can do gyming in our free time . They also provide us with a personal trainer. Library is very big and study environment is also good. There are many places to hangout near our college like Kmal nagar, Majnu ka Tila etc making it a prime location for students.

THE EXPERIENCE as of now

Placement Experience:

Being in my first year I really don't have an idea about these but the average package was around 7 lakh per annum. There's a placement cell in our college which provides information on job and internships opportunities. Furthermore this cell also organises an annual Internship and Career Fair.

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placement in the third year , i.e the 5th and 6th semester...I don't really have idea about the companies visited and no of offers made but my course gets the top placement about 6lk per year

Curriculum is very old and rigid, they still teach traditional methods which lack practical knowledge and syllabus is updated really slowly. But with the introduction of SEC and VAC courses, students can now choose from a variety of skill enhancement courses and make a combination of their own.

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester onwards people become eligible for placement. Important companies are Accenture delloite etc highest package may be around 10-12lpa and average around 4-5lpa the placement rates are not that high. Many students enroll for higher education.

I was very sure to get into delhi university so the option of bhu I didn't considered when I got du but in du itself I wanted Hindu college but I got slightly less marks and I have taken admission into my college in the first round itself so I didn't got the chance for upgradation which might have been till 3rd round.
