College review of hpnlu

The course curriculum includes all the subjects as I am in ba llb so the subjects the include history ,political science, sociology, law of torts and legal methods and this subjects comprises of 100 marks each that is 25 for mid semester 25 for presentation and assignment and 50 for endsem. The teachers don't here give marks easily and 8 cgpa is a big thing here The curriculum here provide us with practical application as the questions also are situation based not theory based and wo have to apply the legal concept than only we get the good numbers. The exams are held after every 2 month and in between there is assignment plus presentation is also there making college life very hectic

As I am in first year I am not known to much about this topic but as a first semester student I have been given internship opportunity by hpnlu at jaipur and many other students also got this opportunity

In himachal pradesh national law University Shimla the placement are not great If we see the previous trends only six students got placement and the highest was 18 lakh per annum and lowest was 5 lakh Student become eligible for the placement in 5th year and are only eligible if there got cgpa above than 7 and have not secured a back. Only 30 % student in batch got placement from college. My plans as of now are not decided by now

I am Prachi first year ba llb student at himachal pradesh national law University. The fee structure of this nlu is comparatively high as compared to other nlus and if I tell you the yearly fee structure it around 3.5 lakh per annum including all hostel and mess fees. So the fees is approximately 18 lakh per annum. If I tell you about the fees hike procedure so it is like every year there is 10% increase hike in the fees structure. And if I talk about the scholarship details it is provided, but it depends on from which state do you belong and it is given by state policy .There is a discount for the sc and st categories as they are provided to give 20000 less than the general student. The fees can be paid semester wise and hostel is compulsory.

The overall experience of college is nice at every festival there is some functions in college.there are many committee in the college that day to day do seminar workshops and recently there was the arival of former chief justice of India sanjeev khana who has given the speech on the day of independence and about constitution and preamble There is organization of cricket league in college every year that buy and sell the the players Overall the experience is nice if you are enthusiastic is sports there is also a great sports culture here

The hostel facility is mediocre as only one hostel in in the campus rest 4 to 5 hostels are outside the campus but not that far way Menu is diverse but the food taste is not that great is is just edible and we beg tham to maintain hygiene

The reason why I choose himachal pradesh national law University is because it is an nlu as I have left punjab university for this college and the other thing is that himachal pradesh national law University is also growing at a large pace under the guidance of our respected vice chancellor ma'am Priti saxena My clat rank was not that great as it was 6k and the other options i have were nlu aurangabad and punjab university whose paper I have cleared and the reason why I choose this university is because of my degree in law professional college also play an important role in your career and nlu take for a law student will give him or her a edge over other students and will also help in the overall development of the particular individual For getting admission in this college you have to get an clat and clear it so that you can secure a seat

The teachers are highly qualified and also very helpful and friendly with students as the total number of students in batch is 180. And this time in 2025 the girls ratio to boy are 70 to 30 as girls are more in no. than boys this year almost all faculties are very nice and very approachable and always ready to help students in an year there are 2 semester and 4 times paper plus assignment and presentation . The year is very hectic if you do not study from starting

The girls and boys hostel are outside the campus and we not average places where we eat and spend time and food there is a bit good and also not very costly the famous hangout place is suicide point and game of spice we have also food trick and raj aunty ke parathe
