Likes
- The one thing i Liked is that the faculty here is good.
- A lot of Moot Competitions , ADR competitions , Debates , Conferences happen . And our college has done well in that.
Dislikes
- There is no playing ground. We have to travel a lot to play.
- Administrartion is corrupt. A lot of protests has happened since i joined.
- No Hostels within the campus. There is only one Hostel inside the campus other hostels are far from college.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum according to me is good there is a wide range of topics which help us in our learning. Also the areas in which I think improvement should be there would be more interactive sessions, practical examples should be included.
Internships Opportunities
There are various internship opportunities available to us like internships in NCDRC, Chambers of advocate, Law firms. Some of the internships are with stipends and some are not with stipend. But since last year the internships have improved.
Placement Experience
The placements are not that good as of now because it is still a new NLU. But after 3-5 year's this thing would also improve as more and more companies would come to the University for placement. My plan after the degree is to join a law firm.
Fees and Financial Aid
So when i joined the college in the year 2022 the fees was around 200000 and Mess fees was close to 12000. But since then the fees has been increasing both the academic and mess fees. Recent Batch which joined this year they are paying close to 350000.
Campus Life
Annual intra sports fest is conducted named DRONA. Classrooms are also very good. Various committees and centres have been made which helps the students to get an experience of how the work is done in the corporate world.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility is decent plus mess menu is okayish but sometimes mess food is not very good. But sometimes it is tasty. Hostel fees is not that much plus if you wanted to rent a room or PG locality is good.
Admission
So , basically one of the main reason why I chose this college was because of the location, it creates an environment in which a student can study easily. Moreover it is the fastest growing NLU and also lots of moot court competition and ADR competition are conducted which gives exposure to students.
Faculty
The Faculty is good. Some of them are not as good they just come and teach there is no interaction whatsoever. Also the Marking system is also sometimes biased which frustrates the student's, but overall the faculty is good.
Night Life
Nightlife is not that good. For boys Hostel timing is till 9:30 and for girls it is 9:00. Famous hanging out places around the campus is Shimla. People go very often to Shimla buses are travelling on daily basis plus cab facilities are there.
