the curse curriculum is divided very proficiently such that there is no pressure on the students as well as the teachers. although there is very less interaction and experience with the legal field and other works. no practical as such. there must be more court visits and internshios under certain senior lawyers and others.

there are no paid internships in the college. although during college vaccations the students are supposed to do internship under various offices like a public prosecutor, senior lawyer, police station etc. to gain experience.

the course is an integrated 5 year course (BALLB). for the 1st to 3rd year the fees was 90000 per year and for the remaining 2 years the fees is 60000 per year. the fee structure is similar for subsidided seats and for reserved categories, while the non-subsidised seats amounts to 1 lakh per year.

there is no well structured infrastructure of the college. the college building cannot hold a total of 600 students along with others members altogether. also there are no separate clubs or facilities even the basic requirements like water and washrooms and college auditorium or ground or cafeteria is not there. there is no social life of a student in the college

the university institute of legal studies, ava lodge, shimla is one of the very well known and historic as well as a prestigous law institution in the state f himachal pradesh. not only there are students who are bonafide from the state itself but also students from across the country. i did not apply to any other college despite this one. the admission process is quite simple. students are supposed to fill the application form from the official website of the college and then wait for the merit list to be announced. after the merit list is announced the selected candidated are supposed to pay the course fee and start the classes accordingly.

the faculty to student ratio is there are 25 teaching staff while 5 non teaching staff and 600 students in the college. the teachers are cooperative and helpful and are proffessional. as the course is integrated there are 5years and 10 semesters. each semester lasts for 6 months and every 3 months minors as well as final exams are conducted every semester. each semester till 6 semester comprises 6 subjects while from 7th to 10 th onwards there are 5 written examinations and subjects and 1 practial subject.

there are no facilities of accomodations like hostels or pg or gym or library. there is no nightlife in or around the college. also there is no cafeteria or a hangout place in the college students usually roam around.
