I really like the faculty its very supportive very friendly very intelligent.
Environment is safe you feel comfortable here

Dislikes

I don’t dislike but the infrastructure can be improved
Canteen can be improved in terms of infrastructure food is improved in this year

Course Curriculum Overview

Core exams are of 3 hours and 90 marks which is quite accurate but challenging at first beacause at school in 3 hours we are prepared to write for 80 so its 10 marks extra but manageable . English Honours opens your mindset in every way possible you think differently in english you study history politics everything is co related in it

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 32000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

So delhi university has annuak fees structure so ot was arohnd 32000 in my first year which decreased to 31000 in my first year.there are 2 semester in one year so we havw to fill examination form 2 times 1200-1400 is the average exaimation fees depends on the subject is practical or not.there can be departmental fees also be asked by your department to organise functions fests but its not necessary sometimes it can happen.

Campus Life

Manjari is the annual fest it was very good i have attended only one till now it depends on the college students union so vote wisely our library is quite well we have smart boards also there are many society clubs lots of expousre in socities du is mainly about its socities personally i like but therr are societies like enactus not there in college which is little dissapointing

Admission

I came through here in cuet at my first round i got daulat ram i was very satisphied with the college as it was north campus one besides that i got in ipu there fees was in lakhs so i liked du better in terms of fees and exposure and opportunities

Faculty

There is 2 semester system so two times exams are conducted this time there was also mid sem examination in my third sem so if that pattern cotinues its 4 times besideds exam there is ca ia also done and marks of attendance are also considered. relationship with faculty is very wholesome.I personally like everyone in English department i have studies till now

Night Life

Night life i cannot tell because i am not a hosteller i have my own house in delhi but kamla nagar roop nagar vijay nagar people reside its safe area i have listened through my peers night life in front of the college campus i have no idea soemtines the juice one stays till late night i think metro is nearby its accessible cabs come on time no transportation issue as such neither in night nor day

Likes

Personally I like my college's environment. It's so friendly and cooperative.
It's an all girls college so it's so comfortable as it is away from male gaze.
I highly do recommend this college for study and personal growth.

Dislikes

I somewhat dislike it's canteen. The food is not as good as our expectations.
The prices in canteen is very high with low quality food.
I dislike the thing that a few professors favour some fix students.

Yeah the curriculum here is so strong, it's student friendly and ability enhancement. The courses offer here are relevant and can be applicable in our day to day lives. It gives us insight into ourselves.

My college was a girl's college. There are maximum 60students in a class. Prints were quite cheap in the college cafe.
There were many fest functions in my college. I also participated in the dance fest in my first year. We also used to go on picnics from college.
India's chief guest at the annual function was M Venkaiah Naidu.

Dislikes

College fees were very high for general category people.
The behavior of many teachers was quite rude and arrogant as if they were teaching us for free.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to do PhD in Political Science but due to percentage I took up BA program. Teachers used to provide notes but mostly I used to be off. There was nothing wrong with the college. Exam timings were good.

Infrastructure of the college is very up-to-date.
College crowd is very active and diverse, giving opportunity to learn and explore.
Teachers are very well educated and friendly towards the students.

Dislikes

Sports facilities at the college need to be improved.
Few teachers methods of teaching are traditional and outdated.
There is strict criteria for attendance, to maintain 66.7 percent

Placement Experience:

Final your students are eligible for the campus placement. Companies visited are HDFC Bank, Zomato, Swiggy, mahindra,EY, Deloitte and others. Highest package was around 30 lacs per annum and the average package is around 4 lakhs. Job profiles were mostly business analyst, research and development, PR and others. I will prepare for civil services examinations after clearing my graduation.

Likes

Our placement services is efficient and effective which always comes up with quality companies in terms of employment and package.
We have solid infrastructure which includes medical rooms, basketball ground, main ground, fest ground etc.
Our faculties expert in their teaching of respective subject where the teaching method is technology based and mentorship quality is demand based

Dislikes

Our course curriculum is relevant but sometimes it lacks little practical learning.

Placement Experience:

Student set in the placement from 5th semester where where is companies visited college for the campus placement such as KPMG, Zomato Deloitte, etc and number of offers made were not explicitly disclosed by the college and highest package was 25 lakhs and average package was 4 lakhs and profile offered were finance, marketing, etc around 70% students placed from my college and my plans after the graduation is to pursue PHD.

Moments of happiness

Likes

I liked the ration of girls and boys it's almost same .
The teaching method of teachers and the library.
College infrastructure and various opportunities and sports ground .

Dislikes

Events in college are usually too short like till 5 pm only .
Classes starts at 8:40 in winters atleast it should start by 10 .

Placement Experience:

English hons is not a course in which placement is that widespread as far as I'm aware . But our college provides placements for other courses like b.com etc and we have placement cell which keeps updating us on internship or placement opportunities and overall package is quite good .

Hostel facilities are really good as it is vibrant and safe and the mess food is really good

Dislikes

Infrastructure is not that good, college is a non dusu affiliated

Course Curriculum Overview:

As a future law student philosophy was one of the options which was good to opt. Secondly, comparatively less people opt it and it can be one of the better choices if you are preparing for upsc and taking it as an optional. Teaching can be made more interactive as the topics are really interesting

Likes

College provides a free environment for sports.
It is ragging free college and many anti ragging laws are here
One of the best features of our college is it in origanising seminar time to time.

Dislikes

There is a issue in time table uncertain classes are a problem for us
So high attendance criteria makes us in trouble.
There are not hostal facility which make a critical situation.

I chose the course because I want to become ias.approximately 100students in class . . Many proofesser are highly educated like PhD ma etc our faculty offers many opportunities.There are 6 semester in 3 years and 2 in each year .it is normal to crack the exam but hard to get High marks

Ramjas the heaven on earth

Remarks:

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.

I applied to jnu, du, pondicherry university, university of Hyderabad and bhu. I got in all of them except jnu. After jnu , i found du to be other great option for pursuing masters . There are multiple colleges in du itself and I got drc according to my preference and cutoff. I put drc on fifth preference and its a good choice considering its ranking and overall prestige. college life

To be honest I only applied for Delhi University through CUET and I selected many colleges from DU like Miranda, Hansraj, Lady Shri Ram, Kirori Mal, many from the south and off campuses and in the first phase I got this college DRC and this course BA Programme English and History and I thought that this was an interesting course so that's why I chose this subject and college but if I could have upgraded my choices there was a chance that I could get seleced in other college but I chose to go with this option and some of my friends also got that college. I did not applieed for any other university/college except DU. To get to DRC college we have to attempt the CUET entrance exam from which we can get admission here by filling this college in your preference.For general category the cutoffs get so high for specifically north campus colleges, But as I belong to ST so that way it was a bit easier to get admission....Read More

This college is under the University of delhi and they have a totally different method of choosing their students as compared to other private colleges or universities. Here we apply to all the colleges under DU from our choice according to the course that we want to take. We will nake a list of those colleges fron the most favorable one to non favorable ones according to our choice. my awesome college drc
