My honest experience at kirorimal college

So i am currently enrolled in maths honours at kirorimal college of university of delhi the course is really well planned and its a good course for the people who want to go into mathematics and research but what i dont like is that its not really industry relevant and you are taught like a mathematician. Not every student aspires to be one. I would really like if they make it more industry relivent and teach us some good skills. We have a exam at the end of each semester and before that a mid term.

The students are eligible for the placement support in the 5th semester itself and 3rd semester for internship from the college. Well over 150+ companies visit our college because of the regirous efforts of our placement cell the highest package is 24lpa the average comes out between 5.5 to 6lpa Around 70 to 80 percentage of students get placed and after my graduation i plan to go for a MBA in finance.

Our college is really affordable the yearly fees comes out around as 17115 thousand total course costing approximately 55000 for 3 years. Other than this Delhi University only takes semister wise exam fees and a registration fees at the time of cuet. There are a few few waivers for sc,st,obc,pwd students there are various scholarships such as the merit based scholarships with upto 20000 monatory help central and state government schemes ranging from 50000 to 60000 kirorimal also itself offers a full waiver scheme for needy students on the basis of their family income.

We have various fests through out the year like different melas and sponsership events happening through out the year out annual fest Renaissance happens in the month of march. The library if well packed with all kinds of book one would need. Our sports complex and the equipment are really good we also have a gym they are equipped with most of the things a student would need. There are a lot of student run clubs and societies kepping the atmosphere active and happening throughout the year.

So i applied for BHU , and IIMS for their 5 year programs as well the IPU i got a conformed seat from all the above IIM jambu in case of IIMs but they were quite far and the course was not also not of my preference as for IPU the college is rated very low compared to kirorimal so i cancelled my admission and actually i wanted to attend Sscbs and iim indore and rohatak but was not able to clear the cut-off by a few marks. The admissions at kirorimal happens through cuet with is organised By NTA in which you have to give exams in 5subjects according to which course you want to do according to their eligibility the cut-off at kirorimal is very high as it is one of the top DU college only hope to get in you have scored above 750 out of 1000.

The faculty at kirorimal college is really very good they are well above qualified to teach us they way they are immersed into their subjects and the way the teach. The student ratio being 12:1 really helps as they can oversee each student personally. I really like my algebra teacher he teaches so well he makes you fall in love with the subject. The best faculty in my opinion would be the ERA professor RK Tripathi sir we have 3 core subjects and 4 mandatory additionals the exams are moderately tough if you study a few hours regularly then they will be a breeze.

No we do not have to clear them. The only thing thats considered during admission is your cuet scorecard the exam is held all over india on the basis on 12th curriculum you can prepare for ir from youtube courses and through self study.

The gyms are well equipped with good equipment and regular maintenance we the cafeteria are also very good the library has all the books needed for the course and the curriculum for the students the hostel curfue starts at 10.30 we only have a boys hostel in campus. Some famous hand out spots are kamla nagar , mall road and some cafes also various hang out spots.
