What Students Say
Likes
- No strict attendance criteria as of now hence able to explore more opportunities
- Availability of basketball court and badminton court
- Girls to boys ratio is roughly 40:60 in my course
Dislikes
- Absence of nescafe or amul or any other outlet inside the campus
- No air conditioners in class room and lack of comfortable benches in some rooms
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is informative but involves a lot of theory. This makes the course less interesting and encourages more wrote-learning. I would say 60% of our curriculum is relevant to further academic pursuits but lacks preparing the students to handle real world situations. The teaching could be more interactive with more projects involved
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees for my course decreases as we move on to the next one. The first year fees for first year is 17000, for second year it is 16343 and for the final year it is 15343. The fees remains the same for general, sc, obc, st and ews categories. Only for the PWD category the fees is 140
Campus Life
Ramjas College has many active societies ranging from consulting to dance. All the major socities hold their annual flagship event in the second half of the academic year, starting from february to april. The library has sufficient availability of books and is spacious. Only some of the rooms have working projectors and labs have 80% working computers. Not many sports activities are offered on campus but the college students do get an opportunity to participate in sport events.
Admission
I got a confirmed admission to NMIMS Mumbai, HR college Mumbai, Jai Hind College Mumbai and IIM Bodhgaya for IPM Program. I chose Ramjas College, Delhi University as I felt Delhi University would allow me to explore about my hobbies and at the same time provide opportunities. I could not make to other colleges mostly because of the cutoff criteria for that particular college. Admission into Delhi University is through CUET which is handled by NTA. During my entrance exam of CUET, a lot of mismanagement happened which led students to lose marks with no fault of their own.
Faculty
I have majorly had a good experience with the faculty of my course. Some of the teachers are really considerate while others unnecessarily cut internal marks and do not follow relative grading which makes our CGPA go down. A teacher at a time handles a class of 70 students and most of the teachers are approachable. The exams are moderate and maximum students pass the exams.
Night Life
As the college in located in north campus, it is well surrounded with eateries and hangout spots. The college is very close to sudama tea stall. Kamla Nagar is on walking distance which has all the major fast food joints and others
