- Decent placements with great companies hiring for both jobs and internships with high packages
- Decent falculties with great qualification and experience
- Good infrastructure and campus size with good greenery all over and good location.
Dislikes
- Girls vs boys ratio is very low-1:5 ratio
- Strict attendance policy -75 percent attendance criteria
- Extra classes from some faculties which are not at all feels engaging and seems like torture to the students.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is same as the other colleges in India and mostly the 10 or 15 years old syllabus is still being taught by most of the faculties in all branches .Though they have introduced new Data base management courses along with ai and ml in our syllabus for placements in this new technical era.
Internships Opportunities
We can easily get internship if you are really serious and get all the big companies that will allow you to sit in their internship programme with seniors also .if you are really that skilled you can easily get all the opportunities and can get PPO also.
Fees and Financial Aid
125000 tution fees 56000 sem fees 36000 mess fees Increasing slightly every year Tution fee waiver for sc /st/ pwd candidates and students of other categories if there yearly income is less than 100000 and 2/3rd of tution feewaiver if there yearly income is less than 500000 rs.
Campus Life
Campus life is decent though in 1st year it was strict and authority dis not allowed us to get outside after 9 pm in night but from 2nd year it is really good as it really feels good to roam in the campus at late night jamming with friends and doing all the things we have imagined before getting into this college.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are really great.i don't think that there is any other hostel in west bengal that has a better hostel than hostel 14 in nit dgp that is alloted to us in 2nd year.having more than 12 floors . registration process is also easy.hostel is good than rented accommodation.
Admission
I was a homestate student who has a edge to get in good branches in the college other than all other nits and to talk about why not any other colleges like shibpur where I could easily get ECE over electrical on Nit dgp is just because of the placements and the better life and campus life with more other state good rank holders choosing nit dgp over iiest shibpur .
Faculty
Faculties are good at helping mostly though some of them are really strict giving too much assignments and homework that we can't even do extra other things all the day And the strict attendance policy that really is a nightmare.
Night Life
Night life is good overall.though there is arule that we can not enter through main gate at late night but it still can be managed and you can easily roam around all night in the campus doing all the things.
