Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum at iiit pune is quite good. Its updated regularly to match whats happening in the tech world. We learn both the latest technology and practical use of our syllabus.there is also several labs and project work to do.

Internships Opportunities

4

Intership opportunities are mostly available for 3rd or 4th year students but we got a startup club here that help us build real world connections that we can leverage to get internship earlier. Google, microsoft, goldmansacks are some recognizable recruiters that our seniors managed to get into and that somewhere also helping us to get some great interships and placement. Great Coding culture here helps us to gain experience and knowledge of the subject.

Placement Experience

3

Campus placement are decent here thanks to the seperate placement department and faculty and also we got a club here to help us build real world connections to some greatly successful personalities. Placement rate is somewhat the field of concern for the institute.

Fees and Financial Aid

Institution fee for 1st year is 3,08,750 which will be collected in 2 installments, one for each semester. 1st installment is 1,61,750 and the 2nd is 1,47,500. Hostel fee (per semester) - 30,385 Caution deposit (one time) - 10,000 Electricity charge (per semester) - 5000 Mess fee (per semester) - 20,000 Everyone in the collage belongs to whichever cast or category has to pay the equal fee and over that the collage also don't provide any scholarships at all but if you are able to secure government scholarships on your own that might be a profitable option to make the difference. The institute itself doesn't provide any scholarships on the marks or performance basis. For the rest of the year in the collage,we as a fresher are not given a fee structure of whole course but its nearly the same every year with said that the fee may vary as per market demand. Being a PPP institution the collage runs on our institution fee so the fee is sort of on a higher end compared to other institution offering same course.

Campus Life

3

As much as i came to know about the clubs and festivals, due to the just established campus this year there are not at all sports ground available to us. Tournaments and all are organised but on turfs or rented grounds. For the festival parts i just dont know enough to review something about it as a fresher.

Hostel Facilities

4

We got bunker beds here with 4 people in a room for the first year. More hostels might be built to counter that but the rooms are pretty big so thats not a sort of issue. We also provided separate table chair and a almirah each and every room got a balcony to adore the hilly views nearby. We go to tracking on the mountain neaby often. Mess menu is also good compared to other iiits and the quality of food is also good (not extraordinary according to the fees)

Admission

As pune itself being an IT hub i knew i will be getting a great coding culture and exposure to tech and programming world. The location and climate of the campus is surprisingly good and view that you get from the balcony of your room is just relaxing. I get the collage by JEE examination and choose it because of location advantage and newly established campus. It's admission is very well structured.

Faculty

4

Faculty members are all very educated and knowledgeable. The collage faculty is trying hard to get their collage a great recognition. Exams are also fairly challenging. Iiit pune offers two streams - CSE and ECE.

Night Life

5

Gym, cafeteria, canteen are yet to be built but might be available till next month. Location of the campus is very good, lots of greenery and the mild rain 3-4 times a day makes it a good location to live. Scenery from the campus is very appealing to the eyes. Nearby city and tourist place are an advantage to the students. Hostel reporting time is 11 pm but thats not very strict as i feel in the last 7 days in the campus. Overall its a great experience living here.

Other Applied Colleges

IIT Delhi - Indian Institute of Technology [IITD] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

I didn’t get enough marks in the JEE exam to secure myself a seat there.

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. CIA like case studies, presentations, and assignments encourage hands on learning. However, in some programs, there is a still heavier focus on the theory, so students must actively seek extra learning resources
