What Students Say
Likes
- I like my college infrastructure especially the clock tower.
- Being in SRCC itself feels like an accomplishment for many for us because it provides us with many opportunities.
Dislikes
- Our campus is a bit small and seating capacity could be increased .
Course Curriculum Overview
I personally wanted to explore my career options in the field of commerce not because I was scared of maths or science ( although we still have maths in our 3rd semester) but because I was curious about economics and business. In our curriculum there are various subjects which defines the real world applicability. Each semester is divided into 4 months and our semester usually starts from August and ends November, semester exams are conducted in mid December .
Placement Experience
On campus Placements are offered to 3rd year students and mostly the placement season starts from the end of semester 5th. There are various companies that come for the placement purpose like Big 4s, big MNCs etc. Highest package for last year was around 35lakh and average package is 10-11lakhs.
Fees and Financial Aid
So the fee i paid while I was in my first year was around 33000+ something I don't remember the exact amount but yes it was somewhere between 33000 and 35000. This was my whole first year fees i.e including semester 1 and semester 2. There are various scholarships provided by the college like Need base scholarships and many more.
Campus Life
We have many fests in Shri Ram College of commerce like societies annual events, students union events like business conclave, crossroads etc. Society events begin by the starting of January. And then continues till the starting of March. Then comes Business conclave and crossroads. We have almost access to every course book or other books in our library. Our sports complex is best in whole Delhi University
Admission
While preparing my preference list in cuet, I only had 2-3 colleges in my mind which was a must for me. First was obviously Shri Ram College of commerce and then it was hindu etc. Fortunately I got into SRCC in the first round itself. And if it wasn't SRCC I would've opted for Du sol rather than going to other du colleges. SRCC holds a legacy and I wanted to be a part of that and continue it. Admission process is simply through cuet. Cut-off for SRCC is 900+ out of 1000 (this is for general students)
Faculty
So, the faculty of Srcc is really so goated especially some professors are so good and friendly you can count on them for like everything. There are many professors who are really approachable whether they taught you or not, like Mrs Malika Mam, Anuj Bhatia sir etc. But then there are some teachers like Mr RK Shah sir who'll make your whole semester traumatizing.
Night Life
So the nightlife around the campus is very active and awesome but if you are a hosteller you might not get to enjoy this because basically hostels get close for girls after 8:30 p.m. and for boys it's around 10 or 11 p.m. We have two gyms in our sports complex and for cafeteria we have a SRCC Cafe, Amul and Nescafe in our campus. So outside the campus we have our OG hangout place telegram it is a cafe in Hudson lane , you'll see SRCC students hanging out there after any society event or meetings..
