Course Curriculum Overview

3

For psychology everything is good, the course the topics everything is very real world applications based. However there is less scope for it in india but in abroad one can do well. I really like learning about mental disorders, they open a new world to me and a better understanding of the people with disabilities. For Areas of improvement all i can suggest is giving lesser readings, since there is a lot of readings to cover it becomes a headache for some students. Also there shoulf be more practical based subjects rather thsn just theory ones.

Fees and Financial Aid

I just pay around 22000 per year, other than that i have no clue abt the specifications since my father pays the fees for me In terms of my batch mates who are doing other subject i have no idea as well, but i think they are also paying the same amount only. Ouh also i remember we pay additional practical fees and also college fees and examination fees are totally different. Andcwe pay twice, in the sense we pay them separately every semester. In terms of scholarships i havnt applied for any till this date so i havd no idea. .

Campus Life

4

College festivals are not up to the hype...cant even explain why cuz its just not. Library is really good Technological facilities is just a screen and projector which does not work all the time Sports is good but not available to all students only the sports quota people I love my northeast cell. But i dont like the Convenor

Admission

I applied for many colleges but in the end i chose JMC cuz my dad wanted me to attend an all girls college. So i selected Stephen's clg, IPCW, KMC as my main colleges that i wanted to apply. So i did not take IPCW even tho i got the subejvy that i wanted was cuz their campus was not givingvthe vibes. Ajd thei facilities like classrooms etc were not upto the mark, it might have changed now but at that time i didnt like it For KMC i chose sociology cuz my frnds told me its good there but then again i did not take it cuz firstly not my first preference of subject and 2ndly not the type of clg ny dad wanted. For Stephen's i got english which is a good subject and my dad was saying to take the clg but then i didnt wanted the course and also my brother went in that clg so i didnt wanted to see him everyday. Or else it would be school times again

Faculty

3

My course faculty is weird. They are very reserved and are not as open as i would have expected. Plus there are only 9 professors in my course and the HOD is a pain in the ass for sure. But i would say they are kind and helpful and lenient when we beg for extensions. I really Reshma maam, she is the kindest soul i know and she has helped me alot be it in studies or life or with my emotional and mental stress. I dont like Joan maam, she hates me for no reason, very strict for someone who is teaching in college, if it was school it would have made sense but for college level she is too strict, she shows alot of favourism. So for me i only had 5 papers out of 6 cuz my SEC was only practical and no theory. Exams are pretty much straightforward and okay only. Some do fail but mainly because they did not appear for the paper. Otherwise papers are usually easy if u study for it

Night Life

4

No night life. I cant go out at night i have strict parents. But after clg i do go to sfdj or satya to hangout and eat. No hostel in our college Mom's hand restaurant and safdurjung is the most famous hangout spot

As per I've heard, placements here are decent. I can't say for sure because I'm new here. About my plans, I am doing CFA side by side because I don't believe that a bachleors degree has any valur of it's own, one needs to pair it with something else.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As a person who wants to build a strong foundation in both economics and mathematics, B.A.(Hons.) Economics was my first choice. This course not only provide valuable insights into how real world economics work, but it also has great career prospects. Students studying economics major actively take consulting, research, risk management as popular career choices. Since this is a practical course with a broad focus on mathematics, the difficulty level is from moderate to high.

I would say the placement opportunities are more available for science , commerce background students in the college there are rarely any placement opportunities for humanities background students . Mostly students starts engaging in placement in the fifth semester .severky companies visited campus every year including Deloitte , EY.TCS etc . Around 40 - 50 percent students from professional courses get the placement annually .even for the students not opting for placement the exposure n the strong alumni network of college help them secure good opportunities outside campus

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum for my course, economics hons. , I would say is very relevant to our day to day life. The curriculum set by the university doesn't focus only on indian economics but economies through out the world. The suggested books are also the top books used in many international top universities. The curriculum provides us with a lot of real world applications through various case studies. For exams the delhi university guidlines are followed and I would say now the exams are based on more of practical usage and how materials taught in class are applied in real life.
