Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is very relevant in terms of industry standards and consists of lastest technologies and methods that we use in the modern era. The exams are moderate with disciplines having different levels of difficulty. The frequency of exams are monthly and quizzes are sudden.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are allowed while and after 3rd year and you also get credits for those internships. To be precise after 5th semester and you can sit for both internships and placements after 6th semester. Currently I am doing a summer internship here at CollegeDunia.
Placement Experience
Many good companies come in the college and give good placement offers. Some top companies that come are Amazon, Nvidia, TCS, Infosys, Turing, etc. More than 80% students get placed. Highest package this year was Rs.83,00,000 and average package was around Rs.14,00,000.
Fees and Financial Aid
The year wise fees for the course that I'm pursuing is Rs.2,20,000. The fees will be increasing with the upcoming years and batches. Tution fees after 1st semester are Rs.1,10,000 for each semester, caution fees are Rs.10,000 but it is a one-time thing. I'm a general reservation candidate and fees for ews, sc/st will be much lower. You can avail the scholarships and approve from the institutions.
Campus Life
The library has a versatile book bank containing various kinds of books like competitive exams, college course books and also for fond readers. Classroom teaching can be of dictation type or PPT based teaching. There are mainly 3 socities - Technical, Cultural, and Sports Society and they have active running clubs under them.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel accomodation are three types tripple-sharing, double-sharing, and single sharing. The meals provided in hostel mess are decent and the mess have a seasonal menu. The registration process for college hostels and mess are done while at institute registration process for the ease of students.
Admission
Personally for me, I wanted to take admission in an esteemed/premier institute. So, IIIT-Kota is an institute of national importance and having secured a good enough rank for taking admission in the best branch available which is Computer Science and Engineering. During my counselling, I found this college and branch combination to be the best fit for me.
Faculty
The faculty members of the college are well educated and everyone possesses a doctorate in their respective fields. Some faculties have published their international journals and thesis making them a renowned person in their respective fields. The exams consisits of Mid Semester and End Semester exams along with surprise quizzes and class assessments.
Night Life
The nightlife at IIITK is just amazing and is full of fun. Sometimes your friend group will sit together and have fun and sometimes you will have group study sessions. There are no such strict timings for boys hostel but for girls hostel the timings are 10pm for 1st year and 10:30pm for 2nd year and above students. The college campus is very safe and secure for night hangouts.
