Course Curriculum Overview

3

I have choosed Artificial Intelligience and Data Engineering at IIIT kota. The cirriculum's alignment with industry demand, the AI bloom, and data-centric jobs makes it highly relevent. While the curriculum covers essential areas such as industry relevant skills, problem solving, internship and collaborations, soft skills, robotics, c languages like python programming etc. It can always benifit from more electives, interdisplinary cources or real worid integration. There is only one teacher in our college, which is the major drawback for AIDE students. All the relibility of a single course is on the single teacher. In my first semester the mid and end term exams were held after one-and-half month, which is lesser time for good preperation, and the internal assessments were also taken after the end term. There should be atleast 2 months gap between the exams. The internal tests or quizes should be in a week intervals.

Internships Opportunities

3

Recently our few seinors got job in google and amazon. This provides internships in data analyst , AI/ML engineer, product manager. Projects AI based chatbot, Image recogination system, stock market prediction.

Placement Experience

3

IIIT Kota was initially running at the MNIT Jaipur which is under top 10 nits. IIIT Kota's placements faced a drastic decrement in placement percentage from 92% in 2021 to 74% in 2024, because the campus had shifted to kota in 2021. In 2023-2024 the number of offers was 140 and eligible students were 162, the higest package was of 65 lakh and avg was 13.09. Companies such as yamaha, jio, oyo, infosys, microsoft, samsung sds, amazon capegimini etc visits. Student not only dependent on on- campus, but should also be in touch of off-campanies, and in good approach with their senior. I will frequently keep applying for job interviews.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure for B.Tech students of IIIT Kota are as follows: 1. Total Course Fee Structure For General/OBC/GEN-EWS: Semester 1 : Rs 1,35,425 Semester 2-8 : Rs 1,11,000 Per Year Fees : Rs 2,28,106 For SC/ST/PWD: Semester 1 : Rs 1,17,425 Semester 2-8 : Rs 93,000 Per Year Fees : 1,92,106 2. Campus Life

2

My college life was abandoned because the campus is not build. I took parts in some events like in Hindi Pakhwara my team won the second prise. Sports facilities is poor, but we are practicing our games dedicatedly for inter iiit sports competition.

Hostel Facilities

2

Facilities in room: Internet lane cable port. The accomodation of a room is 3, but 4 lives there. Table, Chair, bed and almira is provided to each student. Meal quality is bellow average, breakfast is good.

Admission

I have attended the JOSSA counciling 2024, I was getting lower branches in western and southern NITs and other top government IIITs and enginnering colleges, but fortunately IIIT Kota has launched Artifical intelligience and Data engineering cource this year and I got it. I am the native of kota rajasthan and was willing to choose best engineering college near by me under my rank. I was rejected by several engineering colleges in jossa counciling, but at last the two choises were left the RTU and IIIT Kota. The RTU was a govt college and famous in kota, but it doesn't offers much packages, placements and outstanding batchmates, but IIIT Kota does. For getting best engineering college around the country students have to give Joint Entrance Exam called JEE, general/obs/ews candidates sholud secure 75% marks while sc/st students should secure 65% marks in 12th standard for sitting in this exam. After qualifying category wise cutoff jossa counciling happens for seat allocation rounds.

Faculty

2

1. The faculty to student ratio is around 22/330 which is less. Most of the faculties are less approachabe because there are limited teachers and they are engaged in there teaching for about 4hr, and some of them are in college management staff. 2. I like two mathematics faculites and an english one which are Dr. Kapil Kumar Choudhary, Dr. Prashant Goyal, and Dr. Prerna Vanjani. I like these because they have good teaching skills, exposure , energetic and politeness. The best faculties are Dr. Kapil Kumar Choudhary(HMAS), Dr. Amit Kumar(CSE), Dr. Ajay Nehra(CSE). 3.The faculities I don't like are: Dr. Vinita Tiwari ( She is much annoying towards students) Dr. Amit Kumar Garg ( He deducts students marks most) 4. There are two major exams in a semester, mid-term and the end-term. 30 marks for mid term, 40 marks for end term, and 30 marks for internal assessments. Exams difficulty level is modrate to tough. The avg marks goes to 30% of the total marks in a test. Majority of questions asked are far relevant from course in few subjects like, CSE,ECE, but not in maths, and AIDE.

Night Life

2

The college is situated near the industrial area of chemical factories, so sometimes the atmospheric air is polluted at night. We enjoy at night with the friends of neighbouring rooms. We also do study together and solving problems. The equipments in gym is limited and first year can only do gyming in early morning. Our college library is too small majorly course book were there.

Placement Experience:

Placements in my college are average but improving. Students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester. A few companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture (off-campus support), Capgemini, and some local Jaipur-based IT firms visit the campus. Most offers are for software trainee, support, testing, or analyst roles. The average package is around 3–4 LPA, while the highest package goes up to 8–10 LPA (mostly off-campus or through exceptional performance). Around 60–70% students get placed through campus or combined on/off-campus efforts.

In my college there are very good placement chances if you score good marks and be a good student there and we can get an average package of 4 to 5 lakhs per annum and if we are better than if you are very good student we can also get more than 10 lakhs per annum it all depends on us because we have to study and we have to take out chances but if I don't get any employment from there I will start doing it off campus and will do my own business or something like that but I will definitely try hard to get a placement from this college because it is very good and I want to get I am job from this college to start my life of making money

So the curriculum is good but if I talk about the latest then it's not up to that level like nothing is up to that level you cannot learn new things you have to still stick around to old thanks and real world applications there is nothing you have to separate your mind in two ways the one is for your semester exams and another is for your real world challenges
