Course Curriculum Overview

4

Any aspect of curriculum didnt really affect my decision to choose the course it was covid before i joined and colleges have just begun to run again. The curriculum prepares a student only theoretically ready but to over come this problem the university worked on implementing workshops and hackathons to get the student the knowledge of real world and mandatory internship programs makes the student ready for the real world. Improvement the only problem is the students skipping the necessary programs conducted for them which they miss out amd blame the college and system. The frequency of exam is very close every day we have worksheets and 2 months we have internal exam. The level of difficulty changes from subject to subject. The funal exam has adequate break and its the same portions that we learnt for our inetrnal exams which makes it easier for us but as the questions are prepared by different faculty not following a same pattern even though theyb try to the differnce make a little difficulty for the students in exam as we cant expect out of syllabus questions

Placement Experience

3

After 2nd year that is in 5th sem the placements start for the students. Several companies visit like EY, JP morgan, some banks etc Very less studnets sat for placements as most are looking for higher education and maybe business some students that sat for placements got an highsest package of around 3.35 LPA (in my knowledge) Several opportunities are also shown to nthe students that are available in the marked My plan is to go study further and do any professional course that can help me pursue a career that i want. As only BCom students placements are not really avaliable as much as some other courses

Fees and Financial Aid

I paid 1Lpa for bcom Tution fees mention was 25000 And rest went to others like uni fees exam fees etc For the same batch Bba fees was 2Lpa Scholarship is very interesting it was divided into 3 categories 1 CNR the top 5 percent of each class got it which was 40% of the fees The next category is MRD scholarship who got 8.5 cgpa amd above which was 20% of the fees The last category is distinction awards who got 2k per sem

Campus Life

5

One fest that happens annually is the Maaya fest which goes on for one whole week it consists of many games competetions inter college and the final day with an electric concert. The campus is big its vast we have a lot of things in the campus itself to keep ourself fit or be read or eat or play everything. Not too much nor to less. The library is big and gives access to journals and of books and plagiarism and ai check to support us in publishing any research. The classes go on tv screen and black board both are used. Sports is cricket and only students selected can play we have ground to play volley ball football and indoor badminton TT snooker gym etc for the students who can themself go and play what they want There are many clubs in the university i was part of clubs and activities conducted by clubs for student development.

Admission

This is the only college i applied to Several reasons mentioning the most applicable ones 1. Pes has a great name in the market and as my seniors also suggessted it was an hreat choice for me 2.Easiest for me to travel toin the traffic off Bengaluru 3rd the other colleges (Christ university) where my friends apllied when i finished 12th it was a difficult process as many students applied they gave students seat but in campus that was away from hoke our in different states. The admission process in my college was pretty simple pay the application fees and an interview round.

Faculty

5

The faculty was amazing (might get different review from different students) but to me personally everyone was supportive every suvject teacher gave their everything to help is learn all the simple and complicated things easier. Even thought we slept over some lectures. Every doubt is cleared all effprts are put from their side to support us. Even our HOD Dr rupa has given us supprt with guidance and best tips to do anything that we requested. The marking criteria 50-50 (internal to external ratio) Each paper out of 100 divided into 1. worksheet each paper had 10 worksheets which carried 10 marks each and was readuced to 1 each so first 10 marks of internal 2.Next we had case studies 5 for each subject which again carried 10 marks each divided to 2 marks each nect 10 marks of the internals 3. Next we had to do a research paper for each subject in every sem that carried 10 marks . Next 10 marks for the internals 4.The exam structure. We had two internal assessments which was on CPT mode mostlyMCQs. Which carried 20 marrks from the internals. 5. The final assessments called ESA. Which was written for 100 marks and accounted out of 50 Which all together adds to the marks of 100 10+10+10+20+50

Night Life

4

In the campus theres no really a night life the hostels entry closes around 8pm and we can roam around is outside yes it is safe around to roam theres lights everywhere and pretty developed. We get good places to eat around and have a night time to roam but not much really places close around 10-11 and for night life we have to travel a bit in the long traffic to stay up till 1 and just chill over the night

As i love accounting , i made a choice to choose this course which is easy and has good ammount of value too. The curriculam preapers the students in devloping their problem solving skills , and explore the society. The college needs to have a more devolped library for students convinece.

They worked hard and snarly to design a framework that caters to every industry need. Dividing the bcom course into different specialization by which every student can excel in something they are planning to pursue Also the fact that cfa and cma are integrated in the courses makes them value for money
