Course Curriculum Overview

5

The curriculum is well thought and tailored according to the market need equipping students with best knowledge. They concentrate on practical based learning hence incorporating both theory and practical based learning from the very beginning. The curriculum also includes use of AI for different aspects. The whole accademic curriculum is planned in a way to make the CV of the students stand out.

Internships Opportunities

4

There are many internship opportunities... The college has tieup with many NGOs, Companies, Hospitals etc. Despite that we can reach out to other institutions which we would like to do internship. There is opportunity to do as much as internship as we would like to. The college provide great exposure to it's students in all possible ways...

Placement Experience

3

The placement option for BSc Psychology is limited as it is expected to complete Masters also. The placement for Masters graduate is very good. It is not only in PESU but in all universities the placement for BSc Psychology students are limited

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual fees in PES for BSc Psychology is 200000. The fees for the first year has to be paid. Later on based on the credit points scored in 1st year there will be a merit based scholarship for the upcoming years. Only for or the first year and additional 10000 had been paid for seat blocking purpose. Registration fee for this course is 1200. There are 3 scholarships based on merit 1. Prof. MRD scholarship provides 50% concession on the tution fees for first 5% students, 2. Prof. CNR scholarship provides 40% concession on the tution fees for the next 20% students and 3. Distinction award provides Rs. 2000 for all students scoring 7.75 SGPA and above.

Campus Life

5

The infrastructure is very good. There are multiple big and small auditoriums inside the campus. There are also places for different spots. There is a well equipped 2 floor gym and a yoga studio. The campus has centralized AC. There are 3 cafeterias and more than 4 stalls inside the campus. The classrooms are comfortable. There is a white board, green board and a TV. There are CCTV cameras all over the campus including 4 in each classroom. There are big and small events hosted by the college and different departments. The biggest fest is Atmatrisha. And for the psychology department the biggest event is Mental Wellness Week. There are also both college level and department level of clubs.

Hostel Facilities

4

There are different girls hostel units. The room will be equipped with furnitures like cot, table and chair and a cupboard. There is 24/7 water and electricity service. There is laundry and room cleaning service. There will be an attached bathroom to each room. Breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner will be provided by the hostel. The food is good and hygienic. The hostel admission is to be done offline in the Living space office inside the campus.

Admission

Except PESU I applied for MCC banglore, MSRUAS banglore, Chanakya University banglore and Reva University banglore and got offer letter from all the 4 universities. I choose PESU over the other universities considering fee structure, infrastructure, curriculum, importance give to extra curricular activities, proximity to main parts for the city etc. The admission process in PES is quite simple, first we have to fill an application form, then we will be having an interview. Once we get qualified in the interview we will be asked to pay the seat blocking fee. Then after few weeks we can pay the pending amount later will have to go to the university for documents submission. Soon after few weeks the date of commencement will be emailed to the registered email id.

Faculty

5

The faculty members are too good. They are friendly and approachable. They are always ready to help the students regarding all matters. They teach all the topics in a fun way making the concept easy to understand. I personally love the faculty here in PESU. Ofcourse they are strict regarding attendance, punctuality etc but as long as we adhere to the rules there won't be any problem. There are 3 exams per semester as of now. Two in semister exam (ISA) and one end semester exam (ESA). The ISA are purely computer based exam and ESA are Hybrid exams.

Night Life

3

The girls hostel is outside the campus whereas the boys hostel is inside the campus. The curfew timings of the girls hostel is 7am too 7pm from Monday too Saturday and 8am to 8pm on Sunday. The locality of both hostel and campus are safe. The campus will be open from around 8am too 6pm.

Other Applied Colleges

M.S. Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences - [MSRUAS] | Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] {Hons.} (Psychology)

I didn't like the infrastructure

Mount Carmel College - [MCC] | Bachelor of Arts [BA] (Psychology)

It didn't have Hons

REVA University | BSc Psychology

It is very far from Majestic hence causing issues in transportation

Chanakya University | Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] {Hons.} (Psychology)

I didn't like the course structure

Students become eligible from the 5th semester. The university also conducts placement drives and skill development workshops. Out of the various companies, some of the reputed ones include Goldman Sachs, KPMG, EY, Deloitte, De Shaw, etc. The average package is around 7 to 8 lakhs but 60% students opt out from placements for further education. I plan to study a master's degree in business economics after my undergraduate studies.

There is no such thing as placements for now (in 1st year here) but in our second year, we have placement support here. We have compulsory internship at our Second year. We only have 2 batches, 1st Year and 2nd Year. But for now, among our seniors 60% of them hold internships and others are either building something or scaling their skills. For now, we don't have any placement records but according to scaler academy, it will be aroung 24 Lakhs.
