Course Curriculum Overview

5

As forensic science was an interesting and a rare field in college, this college had more facilities in this course. And the faculties for this course are more in number. we have a tight schedule as we are a triple major with three courses namely forensic svience, criminology and even biochemistry. But we wont feel any burden in our sudy time as we have many break in the middle.

Internships Opportunities

5

As im studying forensic svience and criminology , our faculties suggest us to complete our internships in nearby police stations, private advocate offices and even crime laboratories. they suuprt us both physically and mentally during the intership courses.

Placement Experience

5

from 6th semister onwards students are eligible for pkacements. I dont know about the companies of placements as iam a fresher here. The placements here are really good in this course. After Msc forensic science the annual package in an average here is 2-5 lakhs. Almost 80% of forensic students get placement here. As iam pursuing my bachelors here, iam thinking of writing the entrance exam for NFSU gujarath for my Masters.

Fees and Financial Aid

Iam pursuing bsc forensic science and criminology in this college from the year 2024. The yearly fees for this course is 85000. Thos fees inclueds all tuition fees, lab fees everything. The campus here is know to be the best green campus in bangalore. The faculties here are really friendly and help you with your future career suggestions. This college even provides many scholarships based on our merits, talents and even to those with financial problems and disabled students.

Campus Life

5

My overall experiance here is really good. I have joined to the KCDC club- Karnataka civil defence club which provide various training for a civil defence activities. the classrooms here are well maintained with a smart board and a projector in every classrooms.

Hostel Facilities

5

The hostel I'm living in has a good safety measure. The annual fees is 69000 for a tripple sharing rooms. the surrounding area is really calm and peacefull. the wardens here are really friendly and supportive.

Admission

When i researched about main college in bangalore where forensic science is best, this college was in the top 2. I even visited the campus before admission. And i really appreciate the management for well maintained campous and a good schedule for all the students. compared to other colleges i feel ours is the better one.

Faculty

5

As i mentioned the faulties here are really friendly and supportive. Every teacher here focus on students understanding rather than focusing on completing the whole syllabus with a short period of time. we have one internal exam i.e., mid term exam which counts down for the final sem examination. we have two semister per year. We have college portal where we are given notes and many study materials and even we can attempt many tests as a revision for our exams.

Night Life

5

There is a well organizwd gym and more than 3 cafeterias and 4 libraries. There is even the large green turf where students can study and chill. Many numbers if hodtels, pgs and apartments are located nearby with few curfew timings. there are many hangout places outside the college and a huge number of restaurants.

The highest package has been around 7-8 LPA while the average has been around 3-4 LPA depending on the company and the profile of the student. Around 60-70% of eligible students secure placement each year

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate it around 8/10 for relevance and comprehensiveness. I chose this course because it offered solid foundational subjects that aligned with my interests. The curriculum prepares students well for higher studies and provides decent exposure to lab techniques. However, for real world readiness, it could be improved. Teaching methods are mostly theory-heavy and would benefit from interactive approaches. Exams are moderately difficult and conceptual clarity and regular revision helps in scoring well.

Placement Experience:

First of all, there isn't a passed out batch yet(as of 2025). The first batch enrolled in 2023 and they are currently in internship period as they've planned. Placement will be offered at the end of 4th year. Although for internships, around 50+ companies visited and 96% of students got internships. The average stipend was 30,000 INR and the highest stipend was 200,000 INR (non-domestic). My plans after getting the degree are to gain some experience and go for a masters in business if possible.
