The college canteen needs to be more hygiene. Other than that the college has a big thumps up. It’s a great college. Inspite of the campus being very small, the college has all the facilities available.

The college is affiliated to Mumbai University. The syllabus is a bit outdated. There’s a fixed syllabus. There are two exams in an academic year, semester wise. There are internal examinations too just like unit tests.

There are various scholarships available for socially backward people. There is a specific procedure that has to be followed to avail those facilities which includes showing valid caste certificates. There is no loan facility available in college

There are many extra curricular activities in college because along with academics H.R. College promotes extra curricular activities like participating in inter collegiate fests, sports, etc. H.R. has a record of winning most of the competitions.

Alumni/Alumna

H.R. college has its first ever alumni meet in 2019. The seniors are pretty helpful and can be easily approached to seek advice and help. There’s no sort of discrimination between juniors and seniors

Admission

You first need to fill a Mumbai university form and then fill a form which can be bought from H.R college. There will be a merit list put up. If your name appears in the list you can go and pay the fees.

Faculty

5

The college faculty is one of the best faculties in Mumbai. There are experienced professors who give personal attention and are student friendly too. There are guest lecturers too who teach very well.

Course Curriculum Overview:

One of the key aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the B.Com course at Sydenham College was its strong foundation in core commerce subjects such as Accounting, Economics, Business Law, and Finance. The structured progression from basic to advanced concepts, along with exposure to subjects like taxation and auditing, made the program particularly appealing for students aiming for careers in finance, CA, CS, or management.

Placements society of college is just a decade old and still top companies like Zues Capital, Barclays, and Icici bank are among the top colleges that have become a part of ecosystem where 30-40 students is what each companies hires every year. Not many though as too many sections and 500+ students means getting placed even half the students can be a task where Mithibai placement percentage is 60 odd percentage.

Impeccable, amazing and unbelievable are the placements here. For B.Com which is as always a crowded college, making sure 60-70% students have placements through campus is a task not less than climbing everest. So definitely all I can say is our college has done so well that it is now the first choice college for commerce not just among Mumbaikars but overall as well.
